Contest did happen. It resulted in the Tf2 Emporium Vehicle Prop Pack

These were intended as a retroactive reward for the winners etc.
The planned follow up contest didn't happen though.

We even had the request from Valve to compile the four medals into a single submission with one mesh that uses 4 skins - which the importer doesn't support (hence no gold star). Just thought I'd finally make the medals visible to the public after browsing through my older submissions.

It never happened. I don't quite recall why we didn't go ahead with it but I think it was some other community project or contest that people were more interested in at the time (2015).
