There is some problem with lighting. The gun is almost always super-dark (as if it's always in deep shade) while teh hands are brightly lit. Also the reloading sound is kinda weird. I don't like it.

@(BQW) Blue Kazuma Well to correct you on that, it is infact the beta of HL2. The beta on it's own comes with beta maps of the retail version of the game with the only maps with a different story in the beta are the E3 2002 maps, so yeah, it's the beta. However, the WC Map Pack contains maps from several development stages like you said. So when playing the beta with WC Map Pack maps, i guess you could call it "Half-Life 2 Beta with Half-Life 2 Alpha Maps".

Not a beta map but a wc map pack map.. Plus the beta term is most likely not correct since there were around several development stages of hl2 so "The hl2 leak" Is most likely the correct term
