It will only supply the held weapon. I can't justifiably make an addon that reads every possible ammotype a player could use in any case. I'm just not that good at Lua.

could you make a setting so you can choose between resupplying held weapon and all weapons
if not that's fine as well
for me filling a health swep's ammo isn't vary challenging :P (just seeing how long I can survive)

Okay, I've done a little research. Looks like I was originally doing testing with Zombie Extinguisher's Equipped Weapon Addon, which means this mod apparently requires that!

I've added it to required items. It should work just fine as long as that's installed.

There's some kind of error when I use it:

[Dynamic Resupply Entity] lua/entities/loot_ammo/shared.lua:110: attempt to index global 'weapon' (a nil value)

It doesn't give me any ammo, just an error message. Disabled all other addons, tried with HL2 Pistol. Pretty neat it's an actual physical prop now, though.

I made this addon back in 2015. I barely understood Lua at the time, and had to get help from Zombie Extinguisher for it. I've forgotten everything he showed me since then, and I don't have the files anymore. So, I'm probably the least equipped person to ask about this.

If you want a fully physics-based entity you can weld and stuff, I think the thing to do is get someone to remake the addon from the ground up.

Yes, it is. Basically it's just a box that you can spam E on for free ammo for the gun you have in your hand.

This looks promising. I have to wonder how this compares to other the other ammo supply addons I've tried. Ones like the V92 Joker Ammo vending machine give 15 rounds each use and offer supplies for secondary ammo such as AR2 combine orbs when holding shift. Any features other than adaptable ammo I should know about?

I know what you mean. Though functionally, it's less like ammo drops and more like the ammo bag deployables, just with an unlimited number of uses.

Yeah. I liked the concept of the ammo crates from CW2.0 and FA:S2, in that they would resupply whatever gun you had, but I wasn't fond of the fact that they would disappear after a given number of resupplies. Which is why I made this.

It gives a minimum of 10 bullets, and a maximum of 35. This way, you at least get enough ammo to pull off a desperate kill with most weapons.

For now I'm content with just giving a random amount of ammo. Honestly, there will always be people that want the mod to be different. Even if I do add +1mag functions to it, then people are going to want console commands for how many mags you get, and so on and so forth. Just having a simple random amount given is good enough for me. And I don't often have much time to update my stuff anyway, since I'm a lazy little SOB.

I think it would be best if this thing gave an amount of ammo that is relative to the clip size of the weapon in the player's hands. (I.E. a weapon with a 30 round clip would receive enough ammo for one clip) Just a suggestion.

FA:S2 has some entities that work just like this, but they have a limited supply. It even has a SWEP that lets you throw small ammo boxes.
