Iv always had this active. Playing with a friend and got crashes alot.
Looked at the logs to fix it.
Turns out it was this mod causing a crash whenever someone planted anything near wormwood.
dont ask me why, idk

currently this mod does nothing, flagging it as dead if not solved in 3 months

Used mod and it still protects from rain, sanity (Wood) and speed boost.
Some benefit is better then nothing.

its a dead mod, the last update was in 2015. sucks cuz i was looking forward to actually getting benefit out of replacing the floor of my base

are you interested of improving this mod further?

I modifed it for personal use, to balance it.
In my modification you can:
1) Configure the bonus for the three kinds of floor seperately.
2) Added the option to give those boosts only, if the floor is part of a real base.
A base means e.g the floor has to be in range of science and alchemy machine, and a crokpot.

So with this base option, you can't just place everywhere a wooden floor to get all these bonuses, which would be greatly overpoweder. You also have to build these base buildings in range of the floor.
The buildings belonging to a "base" might also be configured individually.

So please answer, if you might add these options to you mod, or if I have permission to upload the changed version, of course with credits to you.

I like mods, but don't want things that make the game too easy or doesn't make sense. just added functionality and more recipes, really. I think this mod actually implements an aspect to the game that is justifiable, usable, and is balanaced. I like it! I just subscribed; I look forward to trying it!

But anyhow. This is a cool mod! You could build your base kinda like a house, and with this mod even give it an indoorsy feel. Great idea. Can't wait to try it. :D

Hey, I was thinking, if you made an option to prevent birds from landing on these turfs, it would give them a more "home-y" feel. Cheers! :)

I think it will be better if the turf has different functions. Such as, carpeted floor prevents losing heat too quickly and wooden flooring prevents getting overheat too quickly, while checkerboard floor has a better protection from heat than wooden flooring. This will solve the problem that jozi.faulkner says.

I think you need to fix the fact that whatever internal temperature you enter the rug at you stay at... I ran in whilst overheating and almost died....

Do you think you could port this to normal Don't Starve? I'd really like it for the singleplayer, because it makes so much more sense to have an insulated and dry homebase and I find it so weird they havent added it.

It works like your clothes without duration.

Ok so if I'm standing on top of a carpet that I just installed. I'm standing on it for 120s in the freezing winter. After 120s it would stop working? Would I need to get rid of it to make a new one for it to have insulation again or how would I refresh this? By moving over to another spot and back?

It means how many time the turf will insulate you from coldness and heat. For instance, if the option is short, it will give you 120s insulation. If the option is long, it will give you 480s insulation. If the option is Always, it will give you insulation forever. The turf works forever. There is no duration for turf.

Why is there an Insulation Time option? What does it mean? When a turf is created it's only insulated for a duration of time set? Does it still work after this set time is expired? I see the option "Always" does it make insulation infinite? How about a little more description on this mod please. :)
