You assumed correctly.

Great for you; not so great fer my achin' head. By the way, may I assume you're the beneficiary of a classical education?
Andi  [author] 18 Sep, 2022 @ 5:47pm
Thank you. That's great to hear.
vallibus 18 Sep, 2022 @ 3:18pm
Yowza! Played this back in 2015. Totally forgot the solution, so went at it again. Still a great challenge the second time around.
Andi  [author] 18 May, 2019 @ 10:46am
It will follow you to the next chamber CC2 also, it will open the elevator door so you can proceed to CC2. When you get there, you have to look for it because it won't be next you when you get arrive.

Thanks for playing.

That was pretty challenging. When I got the cube in the receiver, I was wondering, "What is that for?"
Andi  [author] 21 Nov, 2015 @ 4:14pm
Thanks for testing, I appreciate it.
vallibus 21 Nov, 2015 @ 8:58am
Wow! Another nice one. And quite challenging--at least for me it was.
The Sojourner 18 Sep, 2015 @ 7:23pm
Hello again again. I've fallen a bit behind, but don't worry, I'll get those maps added to my queue ASAP :p2cube:

Slick puzzle! It's not all that hard once you get past the mental (and physical) gaps though.
Andi  [author] 1 Sep, 2015 @ 10:01am
Thank you all for playing and I appreciate the comments.

@p0rtalmaster CC2 will have a custom soundscape as will CC3, thanks to GBMusicMaster.
The Sojourner 31 Aug, 2015 @ 10:21pm
Hello again. I've been a bit backlogged lately with other maps and stuffz :P

It looks like you've found your style with this map. Only thing I recommend in your maps is a soundscape (much like I designed for rc4, but they don't necessarily have to be custom... or even that fancy :P).
Fatso 23 Aug, 2015 @ 9:55am
Yaay I solved it exactly like your video. Fun to solve, nice design. Thumbs up!!!
Brave 22 Aug, 2015 @ 3:51pm
I played again and this time I wasn't so agitated with solving the puzzles this time around...thumbs up! screenshot before I exited.
Andi  [author] 22 Aug, 2015 @ 12:20pm
I have updated this chamber and added a new solution video, the original solution wasn't as clean as this is. Most of the players who have solved this chamber may not notice the changes because they are subtle.
Andi  [author] 21 Aug, 2015 @ 5:08pm
Oh please don't be burned out on portal... let it be me.
Brave 21 Aug, 2015 @ 5:05pm
Interesting, and challenging, but for some reason I didn't enjoy solving the puzzles! Maybe the map design or maybe I'm burnt out with portal.
Andi  [author] 21 Aug, 2015 @ 4:20pm
Thank you all very much for the comments.

@DeathWish808 Thanks for testing this chamber and I'm GLaD you liked it. I knew about the third way to get the cube but it's hard and dangerous, however, if it works and you like it... more power to you. Thanks for testing and thahks for the comments.

I'm going to post a new video not using the light bridge to get the cube. It makes for sense that way.
DeathWish808 21 Aug, 2015 @ 3:35pm
OK, here's a 3rd way to get the cube without the blue gel... (NOT easy!)

Nice puzzle (from what I am reading, flaws and all). As for Daoud Baba's solution I would consider it mostly valid, but QUITE CREATIVE. (He is quite a creative fellow after all.) It's hard plan for these type of solutions. (Heck, it's hard to plan for normal unintended solutions.) All the same I think it would be easy to fix these issues-- that is if you want to.
If you have a chance please check out my new puzzle Over Here, Over There. (Now new and improved! Thanks to the help of Polux and cyhborg helping me fix it.)
Daoud Baba 20 Aug, 2015 @ 6:32pm
I don't love my solution but the timed pedestal button is not adapted for some test like this one. A retractable pedestal fix this stuff :)
kimist108 20 Aug, 2015 @ 5:50pm
Just watched the walkthrough and I solved this map almost as was shown. Did not use the bridge to get the cube. Just gel. Really enjoyed this map! Waitning now for episode 2.
DeathWish808 20 Aug, 2015 @ 5:35pm
Oh, if Baba just did the "pop" the bomb on himself then that I would consider legit. Not the bumping part.
DeathWish808 20 Aug, 2015 @ 5:33pm
This was awesome! Had my brain on overdrive. I had an idea and when I reached the funnel button and it wasn't a toggle then that screwed my thought process for a moment.

The best part for me was when I finally got to the exit side and saw I needed the cube and WAY overthought that part until I literally facepalmed that the cube was only for the platform.

Great puzzle. Great aesthetics. Simple, clean, and very satisfying.

Ninja edit: While waiting for YT to process video I watched your walkthrough. I never would have figured out that lightbridge bounce thing in any reasonable amount of time. I also see now that Innocentive did the same thing. That seems to be the most obvious avenue to accomplish the goal. I now wish (in a way) that I was forced to find that solution, in which case, I would have had to edit this video quite a bit. :-P Wow. That gave me some cruel ideas. haha. Thanks!
DeathWish808 20 Aug, 2015 @ 5:33pm
continued...

Just read Daoud Baba's comment and I'm pissed I didn't do/think of that. Well, I think he took advantage of the gel bomb's physics. Which, if he did then I wouldn't consider the solution to be legit (Bumping the blob over or standing at the edge where the panels would be and the gel would "pop" on yourself creating the same scenario without the need for the ledge.

Anyway, off to the family and this is the longest comment I think I've ever made.

P.S. I left text comments during and now wish I had played with my mic on. I'd wait until YT is finished processing to the 1080p quality.

Daoud Baba 20 Aug, 2015 @ 5:23pm
No, I never figuring how use these panels, sorry ... : https://youtu.be/RA-envc-aAs
Innocentive 20 Aug, 2015 @ 1:30am
That's a nice chamber even though I wouldn't have been able to solve it without your walkthrough video. But I noticed that I got the CC in a slightly easier fashion than you did it. I don't know if that can be prevented. See for yourself: video .
Andi  [author] 19 Aug, 2015 @ 11:34pm
I posted a video of the intended solution.

@Daoud Baba Did you solve this chamber without using the small platform? If you did, how? Thanks for playing.
Daoud Baba 19 Aug, 2015 @ 6:03pm
I really don't know what the cube button and tiny panels is for..
Andi  [author] 18 Aug, 2015 @ 7:01pm
Thanks for playing.

@jgaultney I'm GLaD you liked it but that is not the intended solution. However, if you liked it and it worked, then I'll leave it.
dire.fcs 18 Aug, 2015 @ 2:51pm
Finished!; If I never red the comments I could never get the cube; that was exactly the exit strategy in that map I made some time ago (just forgot it); well better visuals and better element layout; great work with this gel map. Thumbs up
GBMusicMaster 18 Aug, 2015 @ 1:45pm
I was lucky enough to preview this map a few weeks ago. In typical Andi fashion, everything you need is right out in the open; you just have to figure out how it fits together. Love the little custom touches in the signage! Thumbs up and favorited!
jgaultney 18 Aug, 2015 @ 1:04pm
A teriffic and fun gel map!! Thumbs up and favorited.
I have no doublt that it was intended that to get the cc, I was supposed to use BOTH
gels but there is a way to get the cc using only the orange gel :)
