Maybe you should add some more diverse elevation. But not giant cliffs, just some small hills that surround the Pyramids.

I just had to correct your grammar.

Map of the pyramids in Egypt. Not accurate, just a fun land Battle. I wanted to make it so there's not really any battle fighting at the pyramids directly, so now you can fight right along side the pyramids and its ancient temples and abodes that surround it. I'm going to add inhabitants later , NOTE I know the deployment was screwed up but that's a map error and im afraid it cant really be fixed. " but thir big enoph to still hold fully fledged armies and battle where your spose to." That last sentence is beyond my power to correct....

@The Triumph of Rome
Hey I mean not a bad idea, I like variety in my ideas so might be somthing to consider so I can change it up a bit too instead of staying on one theame.

Doomon, this is an excellent map, may I suggest you create enviornmental maps like Tuetoberg Forrest? Leave the cities for a while, and focus on creating these maps, which will add more variety and we can see more Rome 2 maps.

Nice references like overview pics a lot more when it comes to ideas and some sence of theames , but thanks. Like I said it is a bit hard and yea maps are quite time consuming and another thing that really limits me too is collage as well and how I need to concentrate on that first so I do need to manage. One good thing though is that enjoy designing a lot and like doing it for my liesure, im always open to more ideas or insperations.

This could be a basical inspiration you could adapt to gameplay needs (the space between the buildings to make troops fight into the historical site. A possible realisation could be: north of the map with Cheops pyramid as background (out of the playable area of the map) and the middle-south of the map as an entire playable area . This is only a suggestion ofc. Pic of Giza plateau is a real reference for a reasonable interpretation where many elements will cross (gameplay needs, tool limitations-bugs; available stuffs-buildings etc).

Hello mate, thanks for your detailed reply. I know how is easy to speak and hard to realise, not a fair comparison:) too often I see an unit model I want re create and when it's time to make it I have to find many compromises! I'm totally unaware about creating battlemapsbut I clearly understand how a map can help in making it! an "eagle vision" or "radar approach" would help so, this is the best pic I've found: http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/piramidi-della-mappa-di-giza-32590591.jpg

But none the less I respect your opinion too and see what you mean but for different reasons I couldn’t really design that way and designed the way I saw fit. other sites sure thing too, whichever one though I get the best vision of helps though cause in order to recreate things I’ll need like a layout or plan you know, images overlays of the area. If you do wish too ill surly put ideas into consideration if you send me images of reference yourself as well.

Yea I know what you mean and see your point, the thing with relevance was that it was hard to track down exactly what was there as well so due to that inconvenience I used design and creative freedom to interpret a version of the pyramids I thought that were a decent representation also with a twist to it putting towns and temples representing the ancient sites and abodes, though not in the correct spots I feel it adds to the maps appearance and feel to not be generic. I did try to look up some overall looks but it just didn’t work out so I chose to make the space I had interesting with what I know.

hello, usually I don't wander around asking to modify or "make it like this or like I want" not my rule, so take mine as a simple suggestion. Would be great to have a more historical-geographical deployment of pyramids, maybe enhanced by possible mini-sites you could put around in the map (with some strategical relevance). By this way your pyramid map will become the main reference for all CB players always in trouble in searching on the main campaign map the pyramid battlemap. You could also try to recreate another historical-archeological site as living scenario. Thanks anyway.
