@[Commodore] Norwegian Baron I do not believe so? I think ET uses a different list of countries names, which is what I modified in this game. I would try to make an ET version, but I dont know how to overwrite mods.

Updated for 1.15, since I was getting complaints with compatibility for other nation names.

Lancaster/Tuscany/Florence (Whatever) was the most blatant example, so everything SHOULD be good now.

@supercid87 Like I've said before It SHOULD be compatible with 1.15, so if you run it it should work just fine. If it does not for some odd reason, please let me know and I'll dedicate some time to make sure it will actually work.

Could you update this mod for the recent versions? This mod still works if you launch it but there's a major problem. Paradox has switched some of the tags between the versions. For example, Lancastrian tag was used to create Florence, but the mod forces them to call themselves Lancaster again. There are several other countries with similar problem.

@BobBeasta, I can update it when I get some time, but with the 1.14 update, you can enable mods that are out of date. While the game sees this as "Out of Date" It should work just fine.

Are you planning on updating this to 1.14?

In the future, if there are updates and I dont get around to it, you can go into the .mod file in Documents and change the Version # accordingly

Thanks for updating I was extremely happy to see it compatible for my version. the USA is my favorite country to play as on Extended Timeline, so I had to look at the ugly USA all the time.

@The Genie : It was actually kinda funny what happened with this mod. I didn't like the USA being on the map because it looked like a tag for the country, but when I first made the mod, I had just edited a file with the name change, and it overrided the other names, so every country BESIDES the United States had their tags on the main map

Love this mod I always hated the ugly 'USA' on the map, an acronym feels so wrong in place of all the other names.

@Lukek2012-Monks- Actually calling it Great Britain is accurate. The modern UK is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland ( United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland before Irish independence in the 1920s).

However, before 1801, England, Wales and Scotland were part of the Kingdom of Great Britain ( not the United Kingdom ), which was formed by the acts of union 1707, while Ireland was governed separately (in a pu with Great Britain ) as the Kingdom of Ireland . The "United" part was only added when Ireland was "united" with Great Britain in 1801. (That's also why the red St. Patrick's cross, which represents Ireland, is missing from the flag of Great Britain.)

@Samurai3x No, it wouldn't be historically accurate, it would be geograbphically accurate.

@ Samurai3x I guess the (USNA?) would be accurate during this time, but I'm probably gonna just leave it at United States, as its entirely possible that you, or an AI US could expand out of North America, and then it wouldn't really be the USNA.

Ok, lets break it down. There are 4 kingdoms in the British Isles, England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. In history, England conquers Wales, and then Ireland. England get a "Personal Union" with Scotland, and form the United Kingdom. Great Britain is a name given to them as well, because The "Country" comprises of all of the British Isles.

@Lukek2012-Monks- I can kinda see your point, but IRL the official name of mexico is the United MEXICAN States, while the United states of AMERICA. Also, I did this, in game as Mexico isnt titled MEX, but the United States of America is titled USA, which I felt kinda takes away from the game, as it feels awkward to me, and apparantly 70 other people...

But is could mean the united State of mexico how we know it means the USA?
