I figured it out! Ok, the origin version has two exe files that will boot the game. There is the MassEffect2 and ME2Game and they boot the same game in the binaries file of the game. So...in controller companion settings right clicking your process binding and going to profile you can edit the process names and I re-named it ME2Game and booted the game and everything works. Even wtih the steam overlay everything works flawlessly - thank you again. I have added you, your cool in my book - thanks for creating these profiles.

Thanks Porterballs for getting back to me, I tried it without the steam overlay and just playing Mass effect 2 through origin and it still not does not recognize the bindings. What is strange is that mass effect 1 and 3 work perfectly. I am using windows ultimate 7 and use a wireless xbox 360 controller. It seems strange that the bindings do not work for 2 but works for 1 & 3. Any other suggestions? For some reason it does not seem to recognize the process bindings as if it does not exist in my profiles with controller companion and yet it is all there - thanks again for helping and creating this...works amazing on mass effect 1 and 3.

hey usually it should work just running it through origin maybe and not with the steam overlay. some poeple have said they have issues with the wireless version of the 360 controller but try using it just through origin and let me know

Porterballs, I am using a wireless xbox 360 controller with a mass effect 2 game through origin but I use the steam overlay and it does not seem to work...although your mass effect 1 and 3 game bindings do work? Do you have a solution. I am using controller companion - thanks

Nioh8  [author] 8 Aug, 2015 @ 3:58pm
ok if you dont have controller companion you can buy it on here once you have subscribe to the profile and restart steam and thats all you need to do! what controller are you using?
LuLu 8 Aug, 2015 @ 3:56pm
No idea how to do the binding stuff. Descriptions don't help. How do I load the profile?? YES again I am an IDIOT, Explain it like I am 3. or a video link. I am a plug and play person. If I have to go to settings, key binding, etc I don't know what I am doing. So yeah...

Im using a DS4 controller configed so it runs a 360 controller....its not the end of the world but yea it does feel a bit slugish.
Nioh8  [author] 7 Aug, 2015 @ 5:58pm
hey have you subscribed to this config and what controller are you using
LuLu 7 Aug, 2015 @ 5:44pm
Installed Controller Companion and I am completely stuck. Can't figure out how to make it work on Mass Effect2. Anyone have the patience to help me out? Pretty please...yes I am an idiot who never used Xpadder or any other key binding software
Nioh8  [author] 7 Aug, 2015 @ 10:09am
ok do you mean input lag or the responsiveness of the controls? what controller are you using
Honoré de Balzac 7 Aug, 2015 @ 5:42am
Ok so after using this for a while it actually works pretty good.....the only complaint i would say is sometimes the controls feel slow but maby thats up to me to tweak it and get it suited to my needs.
Honoré de Balzac 2 Aug, 2015 @ 12:08pm
