Not sure if it has been said yet, but this is a must if you use the built in European style. Tip: The units can be on the small side, so be sure to use trees to fill in the blocks.

Some high density residential buildings are stuck at level 1 and couldn't upgrade. It just says no level up info available.

when i load the theme it says no level 1 buildings included. i have subscribed to all rik4000's assets

This Theme works except all the level 4 and 5 houses are not activated for theme so are doing nothing so be sure to enable them all when you load up guys.

you can make your own theme with the BT theme manager or modify this one, just with the buildings you like!

Do I need to have all of the British Housing files to use this? Or can I just use the ones I want?

How come my building still aren't British? even after installing rik4000's houses.

Will you consider changing this to High Density Housing as these are terraced houses after all!

yes, but they will only grow when you explicitely create separated 1x2 zones.

The BuildingThemes mod fixes that.

Is there an easy way to make some of these terraced houses into RICO ploppables? I use 81 map tile mod and I like to paint my cities rather than play conventionally. Alternatively, if I sub to some of the individual houses without using a theme or any theme mod, will they just grow normally? Thanks

You can just download the buildings and make the theme manually

used these alot, never had any errors, i do have a question though.. If i make my own themes in game and i have all your buildings, do i realy need this ?, I end up with so many Uk building themes i dont know which is which, i just prefer my own that i can name myself to manage easier. and love the work Rik , backbone of my Uk cities.

I subscribed to all of Rik's stuff and activated the mod, but still no dice.

That's really strange, because this mod is just an empty template that returns the name and description.

What you can do is create the theme yourself in the theme manager.

This mod is not working!!!
I subscribed it and the game wont start anymore... What am I doing wrong ?
If I desubscribe (only this mod, not the buildings itself), the game starts as normal again.
Somehow the brookling building theme is working fine for me... So what can I do about it??

Why dont you make the retail units as commerical buildings rather than unique buildings. ?

boformer, is the lack of LOD a problem? I toyed with the idea of doing one, but I found that if left to itself, CS creates a perfectly servicable LOD when zoomed out. My buildings are basically boxes, so they don't change too much, I find.
It'd be a hell of a job to go LOD for all my buildings, though I would like to be a part of this theme.

@boformer, back to your question, I solved my problem. I hadn't downloaded rik's level 1 housing, only level 3. They began to appear after those assets were on. The exception I mentioned is isolated to different assets, unrelated to this mod. Thanks for your input.

But are Rik planning to do High Density UK buildings? Or does he have his mind on other things? :) Anyway, great job from you two! Amazing work!

(I actually managed to use the Edinburgh-buildings, using the "Load buildings that don't belong to any theme.)

His buildings are missing a LOD, that's why I am holding back.

(COMMENT UPDATE) I think you should make a "Edinburgh High Density Housing Theme" using Sir_Smeg's buildings. They look absolutely amazing. And as he said in a comment a few weeks ago, Scotland is actually in the UK.

Maybe you have answered this question, or maybe not, but are you (or Rik4000, or whoever is doing all this) planning to do high density UK housing as well? Because I have heard many people complaining about that the European high density buildings are not british-like...?? (I don't live in the UK, so I have no opinion about how british-like the buildings are).

Yes, rik's assets are enabled. I found that I had a theme turned on for my entire city, and after unchecking it, still nothing is growing in the UK district (I have allow other buildings not in this theme unchecked). I do have an exception eror popping up frequently, but that may be unrelated to this mod. I'll try to experiment more and see what I can find out.

I don't think so. Did you enable rik's houses in the Content Manager?

I am trying this theme out, only with some of rik's buildings, not all, and nothing is growing. I followed all instructions and have core building themes mod installed--the neo-eclectic theme works well. I am using a non-European map. In order to get these UK homes to appear, would I also need to have the European buildings unlocker mod installed?

I recommend NOT adding Macwelshmans buildings to this theme, they're a different style and don't fit.

Any plans on adding the industrial buildings from rik4000 though?

no, i have not. I only added rik's latest buildings.

@boformer Just to be sure if I'm understanding this conversation right, have you added all of Macwelshman wall2wall buildings to this theme, so there is no need for me to make a custom one? Also what about those detached ones?

I had to unsubscribe this one because i dont want english stores growing along my other downloaded commercial assets when selecting nothing in the district menu. It's a big mess to have the theme assets showing up everywhere like normal downloaded assets
