Kimmykix never finished the map, if I remember correctly there were not even many spawners and I saw very few dinos when I looked at it years ago and all that is why the map is listed as obsolete now. Looked like it could have been a great map but unfortunately never got finished.

Just started the map to explore it, nice work! But why can't I pick up stones?Is it a bug?

i was working on my map but since the game engine itself is broken as hell... you have to drop the map before adding water otherwise physics dont work... theres no tool to line up physics volume with water texture and then on top of that the effects of under water its all clunky and annoying but i might give it another go and grind for it

This map has not been worked on/updated in around three years, hence the obsolete in the title, and game updates pretty much broke the map so much that dinos do not spawn and such things as the black sky/ground can occur.
So this map really is not a good choice in it's current condition.

I tried to run this but it just drops back to menu; I love small island maps tho

the pics of it above look gorgeous, i hope you decide to open it to an ark modder (assuming you've moved on gamewise)

@Kimmykix I know you said you will move this to PUBG, any chance you would be willing to let others work on this for this game and revive it possibly - maybe with the latest dev kit that would be a nightmare - maybe not. Wouldn't mind trying or helping.

@Facist Viking as the title says the map is obsolete and has been updated in over 2 years and last I looked like a year ago no dinos were spawning in so I'd suggest looking for another map or just running a vanilla map.

In general to get any map or mod you just click on the subscribe button and enjoy. I've not played Ark in over a year so can not remeber if you have to activate the maps/mods from within the game or not.

As per the mod title this map is obsolete/dead and not being worked on in any way right now and more then likely not in the future unless someone else takes it over.

Kimmy, you should probably edit the title to indicate it's unsupported status so people don't use it.

this mod is dead, ARK is dead, the community is toxic, fuck you wildcard, i lost hope for this game...im just gonna play something else instead.

Kimmykix. Would you be interrested to share this map with me. I dont know anything about map mapping etc....but willing to try and learn something. I know something of something, maybe not everything but enough to try.... and what I don't know, well I can always ask! Thanx

Yup, this mod is long dead. The reason being back when i worked actively on the mod, ARK was so early in development that every new patch that was put out, which was multiple times a week, broke certain parts of this map, so i had to rework major parts over and over again, to the point that I was no longer able to progress on development. It got frustrating and thus i abandoned the project.

Though good news for anyone that is still interested in this map. Once PUBG opens up mod making and map editing, I plan to port this map over to PUBG, and of course edit/modernize it to work well for that game. So Apako Islands will live once again, but not in this game.

its a shame someone cant get hold of the mod maker and ask if they can take over i would do it but dont have a clue.

As the map title says this map is (on hold) and has not been worked on (updated) for over a year so it is pretty safe to assume it will not be updated and is abandoned.

This map is great! But don't have dino spawn or caves... Anyone...

Why I downloaded the map without any Dragon

Well I have just try the map and I think than she could be interesting for RAFT + OCEAN EXPEDITION
Now problems than I found:
1) We don't have a map on the card so it's complicated for expidition
2) Dino are inexistant, I found only 2 Plesiosaur + 3 Allosaur + 3 Pteranodon + 3 Manta + 3 Argentavis + 2 Stegosaur + 1 Rex and that's it !
3) The map is so right ! Even the mountain just like small hills !
4) We don't have biome maybe a littl swamp but i'm not sure !
5) I don't found cool spot for a base + no cave + don't find ruins
6) Bug texture

Correct, the map/mod has not been updated in over a year as the mod maker got busy with school/work and at this point may have even forgot about the mod. My only advice is to favorite/follow the mod and if it does get updated you'll get notified.

@Panterra-Arius This mod has not been updated in about 10 months, the mod author is busy with college/university. Hopefully the map will be revived sooon as it looks like it will be fun with all the islands.
I advise just put it on follow/favorite for now to keep an eye on it. Last I played it I only saw one scorpion in about 2 hours of free flying around so I suspect Ark general game updates messed up the spawn rates on here.

@Kangaroo I suggest holding of as right now on this mod, it is on hold and it seems one of the recent game updates broke it and dino's rarely spawn. Maybe add it to favorites and check back later as it is a nice looking map.

Traveled for an hour, saw nothing but cat-tails practically. No dinos, none at all.
