I have thought of that, but there isn't enough at the moment for this game to be worthy of being commercial. I will continue development once RPG Maker MV is released and I'll see where it goes from there.
Please check the Credits section of my website. Every script I used is listed there.
Thank you.
Hey there,
If you were talking about the battle screenshots, yeah they don't really fit. Actually, the screenshots are quite old and I haven't had the time to upload new ones. The monster sizes and backgrounds have been adjusted awhile ago. I'll check Deviantart and other communities for help.
Thanks!
Also the sets don't really seem to fit the setting and I can tell that from the Screenshots.
if you (the Author of the Game) need some help, then take a look at RPG-Maker Groups on Deviantart or the several forum Communitys that are willing to help.
The Story has potential, but there is a lot that has to be learned about Game Design.
I created chapter 2 first because I wanted feedback on the battle mechanics, balance and the general features of the game. Chapter 1 wasn't created first for several reasons. First, it required custom tilesets (modern japanese school), which I do not have at the time. Second, it didn't have any of the stuff in chapter 2 because it's mostly story. Lastly, the story for chapter 1 wasn't finalized and I wanted to created stuff for Syertse (character designer for chapter 2) to see. There are other small reasons that prevented me from starting chapter 1, but I said enough.
It was probably a bad move to create chapter 2 first because the first chapter is the most important. Well, at least I made some progress, got some feedback and learned from my mistakes.
I'm currently busy with my art portfolio so I'm putting this game on hold indefinitely. With RPG Maker MV possibly coming out next year, I might just wait for that.
Thank you for your comment!
The story is still in the works and you're thrown right into it because for this demo it's chapter 2 of the story. The story would make a bit more sense if you were to come from chapter 1, but unfortunately, it's still in the works. I wanted testing on the game mechanics more than anything else.
I apologize for the sound, I'll have to edit it.
The rat quest will be fixed. I didn't encounter any problems with it previously so it must be something in the script that I messed with and forgot. Thanks for the find!
I believe you're around 30+ minutes of gameplay at this point. The rest of the game should take 2+ hours to finish. If you would like to playtest while I fix the quest, you may simply skip the dungeon.
Thanks for the playtest so far. If you need playtest on your game and/or you're available to playtest my game entirely, you can add me. I can give you some Steam stuff too.
=Storyline=
-Story is a bit cliche, and left me with a lot of questions.
-With no real warning, it threw me into the story, and I was a bit lost.
-Crysyla has no explanation... She just kinda appeared.
=Audio=
-In the beginning, with no music, I was a bit uninterested...
-I had thought it was a problem with my headphones, turned them up, and then the sudden notification sound of 'Heart' joining my party... needless to say my ears were hurt with my volume so loud.
=Gameplay=
-You kinda left your test-saves in there, just wanted to let ya know
-Okay, I did run into some problems in the gameplay though.
I had finished the rat quest for the boy in one of the caves, then I teleported back to him with.. too many rat tails, I think. I had 16/15 for some reason, and it kept giving me the "Rat Quest Completed" Pop up. I couldnt get out of it. Sooo, thats as far as I got.
How far did you get in this game? I'd like to ask you a few questions depending on your playtime.
