Elevator doesn't move up. I've tried a multitude of the things, even as far as grouping the thrusters and and turning off the ones that push it towards the planet, I've even set the wheels for propulsion to no avail. also noticed the gravity generator isn't working properly? anyone know how to fix this?

I can never finish building this thing. Hitting physical block cap. Any way to get around it.

@Endo: You place them over each other or when you are building, you build them one block over their final position - one brick to hold them in place is enough - and then when you destroy that block the structure will fall one block down and attach

Not having used it, it could be insufficient power to thrusters or wheels, it could be landing gear (press P), it could be a rebalancing issue that broke this.

Same problem as Otherbrotherguy.
Help us with tips please ! :)

Hey man, I'm sure that im just being stupid but I can't get the space elevator to move up from the base station. is this a common issue or am I just being dumb?

nice one.Can you build a smaller Elevator Base and Tubes.. maybe a "Supply" Elevator only for Stuff/Items.?

May I just comment that I love your design. At first glance while scrolling I was under the impression it was a Forerunner building. Well done.

the orbital elevator is a legit design for alternate space access. the only reason we are not constructing them right now is that we do not have material strong enough to withstand the tension. carbon nanotubes are a major step in the right direction but we have not perfected the mass production required to make it feasible.

This reminds me of the orbital elevators from Gundam 00 :)
