@Zandyr_Kayne Actually no they aren't, This and Nettlebane, Amulet of Talos, and any other quest items still apply their weight
Zandyr_Kayne 1 Jul, 2015 @ 9:27am
Quest items are weightless anyway aren't they? Even if they do say they're 20 pounds.

Now please make this for Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Stupid caravan decks... i dont even know how to play Caravan and i've beat NV twice...
Lastyboi  [author] 30 Jun, 2015 @ 12:42pm
@Trigger9008 That changes how much you can carry in general it does not change the wieght of the item.

@Broddr I dont have the dawnguard dlc so I cant edit any dawnguard stuff, and for the elderscroll(dragon)'s name being changed im not sure why that happened.
Broddr 30 Jun, 2015 @ 11:17am
it's only working on one of the scrolls for me, it renamed the elderscroll(dragon) to elderscroll and changed its weight, but ignored the other 2 from dawnguard...I liked that it had the name dragon on it, and was hoping it would work on all three...
★★☆☆☆ for now

Awesome, especially with all the items you get during Dawnguard. Now you can loot more shtuff >:D

Thank god, so annoying having to carry around 60 pounds of Elder Scroll in Dawnguard.

P.S. You can also make the game more of a challenge by making your health regen 0. Again hit tilde (~) and type

player.modav healrate -0.70

Your natural heal rate is 0.70, so if you modify it by -0.70, it counters your healing rate, then you must rely on foods, potions, or spells to heal yourself. I also like to modify some other innates to make the game more difficult because the game is just too darn easy. Glutten for punishment? Maybe :P
PsyberTrigger 30 Jun, 2015 @ 5:23am
There is another way to mod this from within your game. hit tilde (~) and type

player.modav carryweight 20

done. It adds 20 to your carry weight to offset. I didn't check to see if someone already posted this.

@zheige They are in most Bethesda games, but Skyrim was a step back in a lot of ways.
Spectre 29 Jun, 2015 @ 6:58pm

I thought that quest items were weightless???
Besides, can't you just sell it to the college after like two quests?
Val 29 Jun, 2015 @ 4:22pm
This is amazing, except when you have a carry weight of 625... But still, amazing idea... So in total its like a 60 LBS difference if you count the DG scrollz
free yak 29 Jun, 2015 @ 1:00pm
Awesome mod! 20 less pounds really makes a difference.
Simon Says 29 Jun, 2015 @ 12:19pm
This is so awesome! I've been carrying that thing for so many levels now and it is so heavy >.<
Victoryguard 29 Jun, 2015 @ 4:15am
I have another choice when dealing with this problem but, I'm glad that there are options open for people when dealing with quest item weight. I'd suggest that there be a weightless bards college quest items as they're pretty heavy and if you're not part of the Bards you will probably have to look up whom to give them to just to get them out of your inventory.
Paddy the Daddy 29 Jun, 2015 @ 2:20am
Elder scrolls are douchebags. 'Scuse me dragon scroll, could you perhaps STOP BEING SO FUCKING HEAVY. Thanks.
The Robot with Human Hair 24 Jun, 2015 @ 11:26am
The Stones of Barenziah aren't weightless. And there's 24 of them. And you can't remove them from your inventory because they are quest items. So if you're unlucky and can't find the last one, that's still 11.5 "kilos" you have to carry around. So no, not all quest items are weightless. :)
Void Eternal 24 Jun, 2015 @ 8:20am
to prove it to you, save, then put all your items in a chest, body, etc. Afterwards, look at your weight, 0, and you have atleast one item still in your inven you can't remove. then look in the chest, body, etc. and if it got cleared because you took so long and put it in a container that refreshes, revert the save, otherwise, take the items back out. then see, I proved to you that it is weightless.
Void Eternal 24 Jun, 2015 @ 8:16am
Any item that is essential, or whatever you like to call it, basically a item not able to be removed from inventory, is already weightless, basically all quest items are weightless, so this is only useful at the point when it is nolonger a quest item, which is never, for it either is a quest item trapped in your inven forever, or you can sell it to the moth priest in the dawnguard DLC, or sell it to the lybrarian at the college of winterhold, either way, it is weightless already.
