@baronjustter you can download mod tools from the worshop. That will allow you to export anything in the game and make from it a prop.

Any chance for a prop version?

If you have Advanced Vehicle Options, you can disable spawning for the bigger passenger ships.

Are there any prop versions of some boats/ships like this? Anyway amazing work!

After five hours I've given up already. It's just not my sort of thing and I'm not prepared to get into it.

Thanks for the advice, I did make an attempt at Blender yesterday, but I got completely stuck at the UV unwrapping thing. I would love to make a few vehicle assets but I'm just completely new to 3D modelling and I'm not sure if I want to get into it or not.

having said that. esspassialy skylines is good for new modders because you want to create low poly models. So espasialy with houses it then comes to how good you are with picture editing software like photoshop or gimp. If you got some experiance there allready that will help a large deal to create good looking and belivable buildings. I'd say textures are more important with most buildings than the mesh, because you want to keep it as simple as possible.

i use blender and gimp both freeware. I'd say it depends on how much your willing to invest time in it. Esspasialy blender is not a easy program to learn. Once you got the basics it gets easier and becomes more fun the first steps however require some time and nerves i'd say. If you got the coin i would recommend a other programm instead of blender becase while it offers alot of feautures its easy to get lost in the menues and is not made for eays use.

What applications do you use to create your models? Would you say it is easy to make or is it hard?

i am from a country which has no accsess to the sea, and for me this is not a boat :) its a ship.
making canoes as a vehicle would be kind of pointless, they would rather be decoration.

now i finnaly don't have to see those large liners driving throgh my rivers. I sort of like moddeling those ships. Who whould have guessed

If you use the Advanced Vehicle Options mod you can disable the vanilla ships from spawning.
