@HATE|DeathKnight I don't know of any source code that can be publicly accessed, but if you are interested in creating a spiritual successor of this mod, you can use Modular Encounters Spawner as a base to work from.

For anybody look for a mod like this search for modular encounters it adds everything this mod does and better, by adding different abilities to it including assertive installations by splitsie, you can make the game so interactive and unforgiving its crazy, and for a heavier challenge add the orks mod, i somehow managed to defend against waves of drones from a base and then out of no where the orks joined in and i managed to defend against a large ship throwing barrages of missiles at my ass, my auto cargo ships got blown to pieces so i had to reprint those, it was fun and annoying but more fun lol, just make sure to build defenses quickly and they'll come at random moments

@Wartank is there anychance of this mod ever being worked on again. There isnt any mods like this one anywhere on the workshop so seeing a mod like this just fade out is quite sad. I understamd if your busy with life and such, but knowin a status would be nice.

yes the mod is not updatet for the latest version of space engeneers. I think they are working on it but they have 4 issus left (ther were 10 when i looked the first time )

None of the commands from this mod work.

I know my commands aren't disabled because ones from other mods work.

I can't make it work, the firewall is built, and powered. But I use the start command, waited for an hour and nothing happened

@belthize: Agreed. Playing SE vanilla as it is gets boring when you've sunk a x amount of hours into it. There is simply no challange in survival anymore as you know how to build huge bases and strong weapons. But you have nothing to fire them on. I guess it is something where the modding community has to step up (I'm doing an attempt, but if anyone can do better then I'd happely play that)

@Kurikaktus: current version: no, its dead. It needs to be rebuild from the ground up. Something I'm busy with right now. This version will most likely be removed from the workshop at some point. But a new one will pop up to replace it (i'll post a link on here when it releases and wait a week or so before I remove this mod)

Frankly something like this mod is the only thing that would bring me back to SE. I stopped playing years ago (pre-planets). I had tested some of the mods folks were making (and fiddled with making an AI mod myself based somewhat on Arara's old InvaderScript mod.

I want to have to actually survive in a survival game and have escalating threats I need to match and if Keen has finally stabilized things to the point that a mod's half life is more than a few months I will definitely be keeping an eye on it and quite possibly dust off SE and give it a try.

Right now I'm futzing with Empyrion, I really wish SE and Empyrion would get together, each did well what I dislike about the other.

Hmm seeing that there is still people checking this...I gues I will do some shameless help asking: I need some people to test what I've made so far. please note that what you get to test is NOT FINISHED yet. So expect imbalances and limited content. It would however help me a lot as testing if something is 'survival fair' is quite time consuming. So if you want to test a alpha version of the mod remake let me know. Bonus points if your a group of players that want to test it in multiplayer.

@cooper: Yes, The new mod will work for both planets and space. The gameplay will be slightly different. But all in all you will still have to fight off drones.

Oke for those who are still following it: the api is reaching a very stable state and SE stopped doing this 'development and stable branch thing'. In other words: reworks in the making, the war wages on!

Neither, as of this moment. Once the game becomes more stable and big updates come less frequently, this mod might get the reboot it needs.

@Anubis: No Space sappers was much better then Sector 15 as for simulation speed. The flip side of the coin however is that the more ships are active, the less smart the ai would get (the calculation time on each frame was limited so instead of updating all ships each frame it would update x ships in each frame depending on your computers performance). So this caused the ai to crash into astroids and what not if the sim speed was 'in danger'

@Anubis: I can't promise it will be in this concept. But I will do my best to get close to it while evading all issues that this mod had (mainly: performance)
