@charlemagne1428
IF you are unable to continue to work on the mod, please leave an announcement for anyone who understands the game's code, to continue from where you left it..!
If anyone uploads a mod on Steam that doesn't work and won't update it, it is just garbage for the Steam servers...

There should be a policy for that, in my opinion!

You can't upload files and live it like that.

Hi buddy! I hope higher education has gone well for you these past many years. Would you like to return and update this mod for all of these people who have been waiting here for many many long years? I wish you the best of luck in your future!

charlemagne1428  [author] 31 Aug, 2015 @ 8:52pm
@HaelWulf It's not up to date and I'm too busy to work on it...:(
NotColeslaw 31 Aug, 2015 @ 8:29pm
This no longer seems to work for me? Anyone else having a problem?
B A S E R A D 27 Aug, 2015 @ 12:16pm
The culture should be Norn should it not?
Crowsy 4 Aug, 2015 @ 9:22am
@Commander Somebody, More historically accurate? Surely that would depend on who you would be playing as no?
Kellen 4 Aug, 2015 @ 8:44am
a little suggestion, give it the danish name "danelagen". its more historically accurate, and would fit with the added flavor.
Crowsy 3 Aug, 2015 @ 1:32pm
Is the mod working with the latest patch?
NotColeslaw 1 Aug, 2015 @ 9:42am
Just something for visual appeal's sake. Could it be possible to change the kingdom's colors to that of Jorvik's (Duchy of York). With the combination of Kingdom of Scotland, and the Petty Kingdoms of the Isles and Galloway, the blue just gets overloaded in the area.
TexStarshine 23 Jul, 2015 @ 1:05pm
hmm, have you considered making a version for swedes, norwegians, and nordic emporers of scandinavia?

Perhapse a svealaw, norglaw, and nordlaw? (since pre christian scandinavians didn't call it scandinavia?)
papa para 4 Jul, 2015 @ 1:14am
BUG REPORT! Jylland consistently attacks scotland and not mercia.
Crowsy 20 Jun, 2015 @ 11:45am
@thecriminalviolin, I think this would help you, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikings . In England they had two Dane (Viking) kings and they definitely were not elite farmers, lol.
You the term 'Viking' is not used in the right context, it means 'to raid' and the Norse with the Danes did plenty of that in England untill the 'Lady of the Mercians' handed their arses back to them.
The Norse invaded Ireland, Scotland and Northern England mainly with the Danes invading Eastern England but the Danes spread out more and up North.
Ether Goblin 16 Jun, 2015 @ 7:12pm
Difference in teaching and research I see. AH WELL. WHO WANTS COOKIES?! COOKIES FOR EVERYONE!!!
charlemagne1428  [author] 16 Jun, 2015 @ 6:39am
@thecriminalviolin @Clappie Not purely the Nords. The invaders of Britain were led by men like Lodbrok (a Swede) and Guthrum (a Dane). Danelaw itself was primarily a Danish creation, while Nordic settlement in places like Sudreyar were more Norwegian.
Ether Goblin 15 Jun, 2015 @ 10:46pm
@Clappie, not true. It was purely the Nords. The Swedes and Dane were primarily elite farmers and merchants. The Nords conquered, and the swedes profited.
Clappie 14 Jun, 2015 @ 1:28pm
@thecriminalviolin It is pretty well know that the Danes were the most common Vikings raiding and settling in England and Northern France.
Clappie 14 Jun, 2015 @ 1:26pm
@thecriminalviolin The Vikings came from Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
sneed 14 Jun, 2015 @ 9:00am
Hey I have a question: When does the Danelagh culture event kick in? I have formed the Danelaw and its 883 AD. Thanks!
charlemagne1428  [author] 13 Jun, 2015 @ 7:29am
@thecriminalviolin I'm sorry but I'm confused. Danelagh is just an archaic form of Danelaw, which was used to describe the lands controlled by kings like Cnut. Norway was also North Germanic, my friend.
Ether Goblin 12 Jun, 2015 @ 10:37pm
Constructive criticism : Assuming with a name like "Danelagh" and saying it's North Germanic, is this suggesting the vikings came from Denmark? They came from the fjords of Norway my friend. Just thought I'd throw it out there. ;)
sneed 10 Jun, 2015 @ 8:20am
Great mod - ive been needing something like this! Thank you and great job :3
sith.reich 8 Jun, 2015 @ 2:28pm
Love the mod. Only issue I have had so far is that after I formed the Danelaw, all of my succession and gender laws disappeared. Was just wondering if it was a bug you were aware of or if others have had the same issue. Just don't want to be stuck on Aganatic Gavelkind all game.
Basileus Basileon 6 Jun, 2015 @ 3:15pm
Thanks!
charlemagne1428  [author] 6 Jun, 2015 @ 2:23pm
@omega20056 absolutely!
Basileus Basileon 3 Jun, 2015 @ 12:04pm
Would it be possible for me to include this in my mod? I'll credit you in return.
Th3_Hunt3r 14 May, 2015 @ 9:25am
You're in the right path, but its still very small mod.
Þorbjörn 14 May, 2015 @ 9:25am
Aye, I'm having the same problem as Iohannes, it's not showing up at all for me. :(
charlemagne1428  [author] 13 May, 2015 @ 7:42pm
@Iohannes Chrysostomos What would be a good way for me to upload it? I'm not sure where to put it besides Steam Workshop.
Iohannes Chrysostomos 13 May, 2015 @ 6:34pm
Have a rar/etc downloadable file anywhere? I've subscribed, waited, restarted &c, and nothing with the Danelaw/Age of the Vikings is showing up.
charlemagne1428  [author] 12 May, 2015 @ 7:25pm
@The_Avrowolf I may. I'm considering making a different mod as well to focus on breakaway cultures in general, and if I do I will definitely include those. I'm also trying to find more natural names for melting pots, even if they are sometimes a little stretch (Angevin for English culture in France, Briton for Celtic culture in England, Hesperian for Greek culture in Italy)
The_Avrowolf 12 May, 2015 @ 5:01pm
Will you be adding Norse-Gael, Scoto-Norse and such (perhaps Cymnorse (Welsh-Norse), Bretish/Bretic (Norse-Breton), and Norse-Pict)?
Us3rp3r 11 May, 2015 @ 4:18pm
Maybe the religion could be a different sect of nordic paganism? Ffor example it could resemble the modern day branch of Norse paganism wherby its followers focus more on the betterment of themselves and their community e.g (The Nine Noble Virtues) so for example if an adhearent of this new faith conquers new terretory of of different religion they recieve increased conversion chance and reduced revolt risk for building holdings and upgrades. Or if this is too complex to add maybe just give the faith holy wars but limit them to gavelkind to balance it out. Im just spitballing with this but i would love to help you shape a new religion should you decide to add one :D
Reven Radic 11 May, 2015 @ 3:18pm
pagan like norse but in britannia because it needs one (though the power to have crusades/holy orders would be nice)
charlemagne1428  [author] 11 May, 2015 @ 3:05pm
@RevenRadic What are you thinking? A type of Christianity or a new pagan faith?
Reven Radic 11 May, 2015 @ 2:40pm
maybe a religon for the kingdom of daneclaw? (i know this is norse but britainnia needs a religon)
charlemagne1428  [author] 11 May, 2015 @ 2:27pm
Everything should be fixed now.
