Hey you guys, this mod may acatually may or may not be dead. If he updates this mod and includes a new no armour model, the mod will have all it's skins working properly unless it's on servers like the GGA, which are hardcore and only allow sv_pure 0. NWI servers work fine though.

Don't give up hope though! This game is still a wonderful experience and piece of art. The devs still give it bug fixes and stuff, they just don't add any new content. All we can do is play this and wait for sandstorm.

Basically what Klaver said, aside from my lack of willpower, I just decided it's all hopeless.
Plus, there is no way to reduce the mod size in order to have neat and small uploads to workshop. For some reason, it keeps everything in insane file sizes and then blocks me from uploading more.

Also, I went to try DoI out and it's broken as hell. This game is abandoned, that one will be as well by end of year.

It will never be fixed, the devs in insurgency thought it was a smart idea to make serverside players and cpus to control playermodel mods, rather than clientside. Basically, the "no armour" bug with the guy with out armour isnt a bug, its part of the game. He will never change, unless the devs release an update where they force every server to make sv_pure 0, or they rework the whole model code, and make it to where its clientside again, so that you can use playermodel mods properly again.

And the devs have abondend insurgency, working on day of infamy and Insurgency sandstorm. So rip...

Am I the only one that prefers the 90's Army gear over the recent ones? The 90's just seems so much more soldier-ish if you know what I mean. There's just something cool about them. Also, at least in the 90's they used proper desert camo insted of that shitty grey digital pattern camo that they recently recalled for being completely useless. Seems the Army was smarter in the 90's when it came to camo and protecting their troops.

Well, nothing really comes to mind as to what is causing the problem. Verify game cache? Reinstall the game itself? Try on different Security skins and see if they work?

hi! i have tried everything now, and it just wont work. it does load, and shows up in the wokshop tab, but they just do not load. could you help me?

I would love to if I knew how. If anyone knows how to get those old helmets from game files to work on pmcs, let me know cause I can make those look delta enough easily by textures!

Ooooh yeah, it does. Was planning on spamming projects before I leave, but nope. And it's ridicolous, lowering down the size of a texture (as in pixel size aspect) actually makes it blurry.

Dang, that sucks, I hope they change that 1 gb limit.

File did not download fully or properly. (Highly likely) /// Game did not load the skin (you have to wait at the menu for all the workshop addons to load, stuttering of sound symbolises the load. But even if they did not load, the game would automatically make the default textures work instead AKA highly unlikely but not an impossibility). /// I got no idea how or why Insurgency would even be able to screw up like that. I would love to have them wear all MOPPs (wearing my own MOPP in my avatar), but I got no custom models for those.
I could improvise it, but get this, Steam Workshop limits each user to 1 gb capacity.
And each skin for Insurgency weights a little bit above 100 mb. So you kinda understand how effed I am?

Can you make one were they are in MOPP suits, like in the invasion of Iraq, or as seen on Generation Kill.

I know i just like the one that they used in iraq so maybe you could make a 1st marines pack or something with all the 90s camo because the camo on their helmets is 80s camo and woodland camo on the vest

On the fatigues is post 1991 3 color desert camo. On the helmets is pre 1991 6 color desert camo. In reality and in the movie, they wore the 6 desert on their helmets and 3 desert on the fatigues.

indeed, another thing i was browsing the workshop and someone made a no face mask mod so theres just barefaces now that would go really well with this mod if you thought about continuing with this mod, just played a game and you did a great job! :) i made a 93' ranger skin for the old insurgency mod on game banana.
