Personally I'd prefer to have the black part dyeable, mostly for consistency reasons (that is black-dyed, leather is not dyed), still, if you really want to dye the belt, don't die the chin strap too (I think just the belt would be better).

Expect to see my more traditonal (scale) pickelhaube out soon, It will have a dyeable belt and chin strap. A black (matches everything) base color, more detale (I figured out how to make my mirrored textures look right). Only finishing touches left on that.

Thanks 2KI. I have been thinking about makeing a more detaled high rez, I might add a eagle crest and do some scaling. Ill post a second pickelhaube with a more detaled and traditonal style. (and a larger dye map)

Also, if I may suggest some improvement, the helmet looks really too bland, you should vary on colors/textures.

I would much rather the cap it self would be dyeable, as I personaly hate the white colour, and think giving the option to a player to dye the whole thing would offer more variety. Just the strap just aint gonna cut it in my opinion.
