why didnt you make it just a harbour and then you would say that it should be deactivated so that no boats go to it

Works good with the "Move it" mod to place on water. Really nice pier.

What I do to place it in water is to reclaim land on water, place this asset and simply terraform back to let the water flow underneath.

For anyone wondering, this asset most likely doesn't need a AD update, (it has lights) nothing else changed...
AaslandLion 4 Dec, 2015 @ 4:15pm
have this been updated to AD yet?
ConureGuy_411 11 Oct, 2015 @ 10:13pm
Any chance of an AD update? The pier in the AD DLC requires it be placed on water, this one you don't have too (can be placed by roadside! :)

just make it placeable anywhere instead of just ground or water... that should fix the issue enabling it to be placed right on the shore...

And the water version is having issues so its not really usable, sorry.

@gamo. It has a very small land value. I carefully put values. For this is one is very small, like 50
so its not very OP.

Will this be updated for the water version? And I don't understand the saltwater thing, does it loose it's entertainment and tourist value if force this one into water somehow? Also what are it's values anyway hehe... I subbed to most of your mods but don't wanna use them before i can see values :o
I'm scared for downloading content for looks that slowly makes the game easier! I have the most fun when game kicks my ass on hardmode :)
Anyway it looks great, like all your mods

@derek328 OnSurface or ShoreLine probably makes more sense.

For placing on water you can also use a terraformer (make it land before placing, then remove the land again - or just remove land after placing if you plan to have more water anyway). Looks great: http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/537394610467901106/B4B3EA7B88857A29D0B2C49708B9C22AA2043A17/ (and it's still used, see the guy with the dog on it?).

@Tair You can build over water. Use Mod Tools to change m_placementMode to OnWater. Not sure if the model is displaced to the water surface automatically though. Check the thread at simtropolis for more info. http://community.simtropolis.com/topic/67141-toolcontroller-m-editprefabinfo-properties-compendium-please-contribute/

You can also place it on water using the Road Anarchy mod and people will still use it.

I tried placing the dam, deleting it, and when the water level went down temporarily, i built a road as close as possible and placed the pier. Obviously a bit of land was flooded but once it went down the pier was just slightly above water and it was perfect. Great little pier. I love it.
Tair  [author] 13 Apr, 2015 @ 5:28am
Salt water will make the trees sick though :( I hope i can release a decorative pier of the same model that can be placed anywhere in water.
LordPimberley 13 Apr, 2015 @ 5:26am
I think another way to get this in the water without the terraforming tool would be to put some water pumps or a hydro dam upstream, then wait for water to drain, place park, release waterflow, boom it's in water :)
Tair  [author] 13 Apr, 2015 @ 2:46am
Thats awesome :) I will upload a version that doesnt need Terraform soon, too, althought it will lack citizen interaction.
GTAsian 13 Apr, 2015 @ 1:02am
It can go in the water using the terraform tool. http://imgur.com/a/4Cl8A
