I played on this map for my first big Cities Skylines city a while back and I have to say I give it 3 stars. The map is a bit plain and the water in the bay area is completely stagnant so if you dump your sewage there, it'll take ages to clean up later on. Other than that, it is pretty alright.

and better.

It would be more practical if the junction was facing the opposite direction.

After flipping through hundreds of pages of maps, I've decided to use this one for my city. I am going to sacrafice a virgin in your honor!

This might be a problem with the Prop & Tree Anarchy mod. I have experienced the same thing on other maps when this mod was active because it removes the collision check for trees and props so they won't be removed by roads or buildings. I think this is a bug and will be fixed soon.

i dont understand why there are trees in the middle of the roads. Can someone help?

Absolutely love this map! I've used it on almost every city I make, it's by far one of the best maps I've come across so far. You my sir have an amazing map on your hands here. I also really like your Norderhaven map!

@theirishconman Sorry, I'm not going to change the map anymore. But you can always try to change it to your liking! :) That's how I do it with custom maps.

I love this map, but is there any way you could update it to have 4 rail lines?

I played this map for a good long time, but ran into water flow issues once the city was ~70k. A few water pumps can reverse the flow of the rivers. It's even impactful when the pumps are out in the bay.

aubergine18: I had the same problem on Pearl Beach (another great map by Bugfix); the connecting line wouldn't show, but after a few minutes, I saw ships coming in and going out as normal: the harbour was working even though the dotted line was not visible.

Built a large (150k) city on this map, had a lot of fun with it. Picking which tile to expand to was sometimes a tough choice. Great map!

I'm struggling to get shipping lanes working on this map - after buying some plots with the lanes in, when I try placing harbours the red line connects from harbour to shipping lane but says that it's unable to connect (the harbour and shipping lane are in same plot so nothing getting in the way as far as I can see). Do I need to purchase all sea plots before shipping lanes start working?

Place water pumps on the lake's edge. solved my problem.

Ok, yeah, after a bit more playing with the water, I see the problem... I've got 3 pumps on each river, and... basically they're pulling more water in than the river is delivering. The net result is an up-stream flow that's sucking the sewage slick up from the ocean xD Having switched over to water towers, this problem has abated, and the river mouth has a small outflow again.

The bay itself however... unfortunately remains stagnant, and there's a couple of places with a small northward flow which is drawing the output of my sewage treatment plants all the way up the coast. Don't think I'll be getting any awards for clean beaches... Only other option is dump the sewage into the lake, but I'm not sure that's healthy xD

@spwn.Bugfix - thanks for the reply :) I have now started using sewage treatment facilities, but the old, dense slick remains. I'd placed the outflows in the bottom left corner of the starting tile (cos I'm predictable) and it's now been several hours of play and the log-jam is still there...

The milder pollution from the treatment facilities is based in the next tile southwards, but if anything, it seems to have no preferred direction of flow other than 'away'. The flow markers on the water view are also absent in this area, suggesting there's none at all... not sure I hold out much hope of either area clearing, tbh.

Love the map in general, I just think that the water flow needs a bit of a tweak ^^;

Beautiful map, probably my favorite available right now.

@Nekozy I actually had that kind of issue myself when I tested the map and pumped all the sewage into the bay. But when I started using water treatment plants instead, the pollution started to slowly go away. Actually, I think polluted water will turn clear again after a while, but please correct me if I'm wrong. On the other hand, like I said in the description, I wanted to make water management a real concern and encourage the use of water towers.

Land layout is lovely, got some nice zero-pollution industry zones early :) Lack of water flow is a bit of an issue though... kind of dumped a lot of sewage into the sea quite early, and it isn't dissipating at all now that I've moved the outflow further south. Any chance of giving it a bit more momentum off the edge of the map so that the poop-slick will eventually be carried away?
