Dude, the files are alreddy on your PC! Feel free to use them. You only have to search for the journeys in your (probably) Documents\my Games\Distance\Levels\WorkshopLevels folder.

Aww..darn it! I'm new to the game and learning the editor as of now. I was wondering if you could share the bytes file of the map so that I could work on somethin' with that environment (the woods section, to be specific to my need, though I'm curious about all the environs in general). Just a request, I would totally understand if you prefer to not give it.

@5el-9 Thx you for telling me that my super old tracks are still enoyed :) but Im sorry to tell you that I probably won't be working on tracks soon again :S

My favourite among all the three journeys (except Particular, that one's just a class apart). Especially loved the drive through the woods, felt like I could drive thru 'em forever. I wish you could make a harder track that takes place in the same woods.

Hey PPPaul, now that weather effects are coming (currently in the Experimental build), are you planning on adding them to your Journey-Series? It would become even more authentic. :)

Hey! I do Distance track showcases on the Youtubes, and I like to try and interview map creators while I do it. I dig this track! I'd love to have you on the show for an interview, if you're up for it :)
Just shoot me a friend request if you're down and we can figure out a time!
You can check out my previous showcases here-

GAME CRASH USING THIS MAP

jo Skirmisher tryed using the Jump sign but i couldnt find a way to make it better visible. I think im gonna ditch the disabled jump at the beginning. There is not much loss to it.
And i reeeaaaly like the ending. im not gonna change that. you can reach the platform sooo easy. you can just jump from the ceilling or jump from the side. In Fact there are soo many possible angles where you can reach it.

For the pillars, I'd advise you to reduce each obstacle to two pillars, or even one, and to get rid of several obstacles, especially near the end. If you want to keep jump disabled at the beginning (I do like your designs relying on disabling jump), place the EnableAbilitiesBox in an AbilityCheckpoint from Adventure and place a jump ability sign on it. (At least use the jump sign, and make it prominent.)

Thank you for the Feedback Californ1a. I alreddy heard some criticism about the first part and im shurely gonna change it. I dont want to ditch it tho because i want the contrast between the sections. also some of these parts i wanted a little bit to be a puzzle (like the one were you have to jump and also the end) I thought it wouldnt be to hard to figure theese out but if you say that it stops the flow to much then i have to change them aswell.

Sorry, but everything before jump enabled is pretty bad - way too many pillars, hard to see where you can actually fit between them before getting too close, and then when jump is finally enabled you don't know it and are just stuck staring at the entrance to the grassy field area trying to figure out how to get through there without jump (until you just try jumping even though it's been disabled).

Beyond that whole no jump area, I love the rest of the track, my advice is just to ditch the entire beginning and you've got a really good track. Also, the end is just kind of floating there with no good way of getting up to it aside from going on the ceiling and jumping down, probably add one small track segment in front of it that curves up to it.

jo Nic, I realy tryed to play with perspective so the landscape looks far away. Did you alreddy found the shortcut on this section?
SlenderPaul  [author] 21 Mar, 2015 @ 6:23am
Thanks Nic. I realized a bit to late that the landing zone is a bit of to the right but i didnt think it would be a problem. But i changed the checkpoint so now you just have to boost to make the jump and land in the middle of the road.
