Unfortunately, just ran a test. Had the simulation run for two weeks and nobody, neither residents or tourists, came to visit. Seems like you have to open the building to guests.

Well, most of the other building mods I use either have a custom icon, or at least a default icon, but for this mod it is just a blank space... there must be a way to do it, but I am not entirely sure how

Custom icons don't seem supported currently, at least as far as I can tell.

Also, I'll add that the game only allows for one texture and one mesh, making it fairly difficult to create a detailed model.
