"Beyond Typus" is the spiritual successor to this mod - search that on the workshop if you want a more up-to-date experience
Development for this mod has since moved to Beyond TYPUS. See the comment directly below yours.
Updated version link .
I was also going to say Hear! Hear! haha.
First mod I played properly for EU4, I could never run bigger overhauls which is why I loved this so much. Still that Vanilla feeling but with the historical accuracy.
Hear! Hear!
The BtPLegacy Team (JP) and I are doing our best to continue and maintain the spirit of the project Link , and at least for the immediate future I'm maintaining this exact version at the most recent patch Link , but HR's expertise is sorely missed =/.
Sorry to hear that, it is what is in the base map we use. If you have any suggestions or thoughts on it, please comment in the suggestion thread on Beyond Typus.
Thanks
Or Beyond Typus of this with work in North America, Africa and the Middle East
We have worked to update this.
Unfortunatly
I suppose this mod is not compatible with saves converted from CK2?
Well, you are looking at another ther 'abandoned mod'.
Please see Beyond Typus for an up to date version which gets regular expansions.
Thanks, JP
No as that mod changed the start date.
Not with the converter mod, no. This mod uses a different set of province ids, and so would not map the world correctly, if at all.
Because both mods change provinces, they aren't compatible with each other.
Development has since moved to Beyond Typus and Beyond the Pale's Legacy, however, none are up to date with 1.20, you will need to re-load 1.19 to play either of them
This mod was the initial BtP mod that HR did. He also had he "Beyond the Pale, Britain and Ireland" which was initially just them two. He made them both the same but did I t combine due to subs on both.
The BtPL Team (including myself) are working on continuing HRs work. Currently, we have Beyod the Pale Legacy-Classic which is the same as this just updated. There is also Beyond Typus, which is HRs work on a new projection. The team is continuing with work throughout the world using HRs style. This work is going into BT, as well as an unreleased BtPL which will be in vanilla projection.
All this is happening as HR is taking an unfortunate leave from modding, but I hope that has cleared it up for you.
Jordan
thanks for answering, can't wait then for the releasing of the expanded PtP!! :D
To reiterate @Smartgu725, this mod is not updated. We, the Beyond the Pale's Legacy team (including me and SmartGuy725) have got this updated to.18 with the link he has included. We are also planning on updating for 1.19. The screenshots I have been posting are for our plan to expand HRs mod throughou the rest of the world.
JP
If you want to use PtP, you'll have to use Beyond the Pale - Legacy with 1.18. This version of the mod is no longer updated
that MOD actually is not working even if I update the .mod file for the last version of EU. I have just to wait for the release of your new MOD for having a wotking version of Beyond the Pale? Thanks!

The decision made was made for two reasons. One, it gives Byzantium a more fighting chance against he Ottomans. Two, there were still Byzantine controlled areas in the province which only fell after Constantinople. They controlled the straight up until Constantinople fell, she rater than super tiny provinces around Kocaeli's coat, we picked to give it to Byzantium itself.
This being said, if we can find compelling reasons against the choice, it will be considered by the development team.

Beyond the Pale's Legacy - Classic
Functionally, the primary difference between Beyond the Pale Legacy and Beyond Typus will be the Typus Orbis Terrarum projection. Beyond the Pale Legacy will use the work from Beyond Typus, and vice-versa. Our current goal is to have the two versions saved-game compatible with each other, though reality may or may not conform to our desires in this instance.
As always, we welcome suggestions and feedback, and as we near the release date, we'll try to post a few previews of our progress.
Thanks for your interest!
Beyond the Pale Legacy: Classic
This is HR's Beyond the Pale, exactly as he left it, just updated to the most recent Paradox patch. We will not be making any changes to this version whatsoever unless instructed to do so by HR himself.
Beyond the Pale Legacy
This is our primary project, and it seeks to expand the scope of BtP outside of its current European boundries while maintaining the same style, feel, balance, and attention to detail. We are keeping changes to HR's work to a minimum, but we may make a small number of changes to Europe, as well.
Beyond Typus
This is my (Draíocht's) personal project, which I started before HR took his current sabbatical and before the BtPLegacy team got together. It began as simply BtP in the TOT projection, but I soon began overhauling the New World in the same style of the original BtP.
Additionally the first release of Beyond the Pale Legacy will include my work from Beyond Typus, which will cover the modern United States west of the Rockies and all of modern Canada, and includes ~135 new province, ~20 of which are new from the in progress overhaul of Upper Canada, Lower Canada, and Acadia.
There will also be 4 new provinces making an appearance in Europe, including one new Irish province as part of the Irish overhaul planned but not implemented by HR, Menorca (split from the Balearic Islands), Pomeralia (split from Danzig), and a split of the Hebrides (Innse Gall).
We are also working on a way to represent the sizable Jewish minorities that lived throughout Europe and the Near East in this period in a balanced and historically based fashion.
To clarify what, exactly, we're releasing, our team (and its members) oversees 3 Beyond the Pale related projects:
Hey everyone!
Just a little progress update as the Paradox 1.18 release is coming up soon.
Unfortunately, it looks like we wont be able to include the entirety of our Middle East overhaul, as we're bottlenecked in research (province-by-province: What was the capital? Who owned it at any given point? How rich was the area? What trade good was it known for? What was the majority culture? etc.).
We do, however, plan to have overhauled Anatolia ready for ye in our first release, which will hopefully follow the Paradox patch in a somewhat timely manner, and includes ~30 new provinces to accurately represent the cultural, religious, and political borders of the region while adding depth and detail.
