Honestly this is a really cool idea, I love the transformation animations( although, a bit slow for something that has to be ready to defend at a moments notice), but unfortunitly, I feel this may not work in-game for these reasons:

1) Will they still allow the Engi to be as defensive as with his sentry gun? I mean, this could be good for battle engi, but I can't imagine these things being able to deal as much dps and area denial as a normal sentry.
2) How will the AI work, cause if you've ever seen TooManyMoths' "Bot-umentary" videos, you will know that the AI in this game isn't too good, along with the NAV paths for all the maps.

All and all, this is a really creative idea, and Engineer definitly needs something new in terms of this sentry, but I don't know. Maybe work with some programers and get these working in-game so we can really see what these puppies can do.

to not me inbalanced or for much work to be put in they could just make it so it has the normal sentry range and cheses stuff if the enemy leaves the sentries area the dog goes back tot he original spot so it wouldnt be too hard i guess

its really badly textured, and would involve setting up an ai pathing for every map, something valve doesnt even do for regular bots.

not only that, but the way everything is presented looks as if source engine wasnt even used to make it. so whats valve supposed to work with if it does get accepted. animation from a seperate program, and sketches.

Needs a little more work I think, but HUGE potential! I really like this concept, it adds some variety to an otherwise stale design space for engineer. I can only hope it isn't condemned to workshop hell like the Mini Dispenser or the Laser Sentry...
