This mod is a little bit too easy. I conquered all of the Iberian peninsula and created the Empire of Hispania and King of England as well lol. All of this in one lifetime.

i like this mod a lot but i think i'm going edit it and make the factors smaller. like 25% for emperors and scaling upwards for low ranks. Given that an army is more likely to help their higher ranks escape.

You wrong, my friend...Many times history proof that numbers are not mathers....and smaller army was able to defeat or resist to do hudge casultates to bigger army.
Of course is not my intention to argue.

Rather strange, i keep getting prisoners from battles that had nothing to do with the battle. Ill get like 5 prisoners, the 3 commanders and then 2 random nobles plucked from anywhere.

Realistic battles mod does a similar thing. I ended up dropping it because it made crusades end after one battle, or my brother calling me to war would get captured before I even levied my troops, and forget commanders. All are gone after every battle. It’s not even fun anymore lol. Great mod effort and good awork, but not for everyone

Rival capture still persists, can't see the name of the portrait of the prisoner, it keeps telling that I captured my rival for every prisoner.

Please report if "rival capture" still persists, cause it may be partly connected to devs original code which I did not change in this update but changed for myself and mod works fine for me.

Building on what irakspir said, if you have a rival, this popup actually imprisons them. I also had a glitch where I won a battle, but it then popped up that I had been captured and my army disappeared.

after the holy fury expansion and the updates coming with it, this mod no longer works properly. While I still do capture the enemy commanders, the event that tells me "hey, you captured this person" keeps informing me that I captured my rival for some reason, no matter the battle or the rival. Also, it won't show up the captured person's name and icon. Please fix it if you can, it's a very useful mod. Thank you for your time

Clear version is the original one, with 50% chance of capturing an enemy. Others have different chances.

Thanks! I have another question... looking at the CK2 wiki, under tier- the possible values are baron, count, duke, king, emperor. Does the game even recognise "mayor" and "courtier" as tiers? Have you encountered captured courtiers and mayors in game?

Yes. Other modifiers still play a role but their impact is insignificant.

So I downloaded the 30% version and i opened the battle_events.txt. I searched for Imprison, and scrolled past the traits to the tiers which are flat 30.5. Am I understating it correctly, that if I change these, the percentage changes for the various tiers of characters? For example 5 for emperor, 10 for king, 30 for courtier etc.? are there other lines that i should note?

It just said in the description that "ALL" characters have a 50% chance of capture. I guess the wording was maybe a little msileading to me

What? Enemies are captured only after a succesfull battle, after the lost battle you are the one getting imprisoned.

Wouldn't it be better to scale the chance of capture based on how decisive the victory is? Wouldn't Victors have a much higher chance of capturing import enemy prisoners? And the likelihood of capturing your enemy while you're in full retreat seems pretty low
