@Edwin the Deadwin This is because the map is made with the old XL Map maker. Because of this, we can not control the placement of the trees, You will see lots of them under the water. You could leave them but they look shocking when taking screenshots of your city.
The new XXL map maker lets us control trees but I have not had time to get back into map making using the new map tool.

I just bought Cities XXL. I don't understand this line "As normal, delete the trees in the water." Why is that as usual?
