Cannot understand, you now mean these third party textures, which you have "stolen" before me, or original game files, which you've "stolen" before me?
Or maybe the process of such kind of "stealing" itself, which I'm trying "to steal" from you? Or the process of "stealing" the textures _and_ preventing another people to use the same ones?
It will give me better understanding of "your community" tactic. It is nice, if you take other people work, change 1% of it and make a mod, but it is bad, if someone else takes this 1%-your-work, changes 50% of it and makes a mod. Did I understand right?
I don't know, what "community" you two with nicko have got. In software developers community and in Civ5 community, in which I take a part, if someone wrote a useful code, but someone else can make it better, it is good, if he makes it better. Espesially, if the first one have made a code, which consists of 90% of third party code.
Things are opposite in your two moron "community", as I see. "I find a texture in the internet. It's my precious. Nobody can touch it now". Stupid teens.
Because many people want to play with these textures. These textures which they had 4 years ago. But now with tags, effects, terrain flattening and so on.
Is it too hard to understand?
With my software I can generate thousands of plazas in a day. Forest generating is much harder algorithm, than plazas. So it is not a hard work now, when program is already written. And if I can to make the same good old plazas, not only with tile textures, but with tags, effects and so on, why should I not to do it? Just because for some guy to download a texture is a hard work, and he will have a butthurt, if for someone like me it is easy? Let he gets my software and does this stuff by himeself with their own mod, if he wish. If he doesn't do this, OK, I will do.
As I said, I will just download this textures and generate all the files with the program I wrote for Total Greenery and Water mods.
Hope, you don't think, that pictures in the internet is yours.
Do I need to remove original mods authors names? Will it be enough for your great contribution?
You could make your own plazas. There's heaps of different things you could come up with.
OK, guys. You asked. I will redownload all textures from internet and just redone all the stuff by program, I wrote. No parts of original mod files will remain. Just similar textures.
You should be crazy, if you like your strange version of copyright (get textures from internet, files from original games and think that is your personal stuff) more than player fun and pleasure.
> By rights I can upload your total greenery mod.
You can. I have even share a program that I wrote to generate these areas. If someone be able to support my mods it would be very nice.
Like I said, this should be deleted because you don't have permission from the original authors.
I do not upload it to XLN. Only to Steam. Steam supports modpack conception. So, what's a problem?
Technically it is not their own work. Textures are from the internet and from vanilla, layout-files from original game with one string changed, class-files are mostly maked by me, based on original game ones. Even I made half of localization files, because some of original mods just don't have any.
Modders names are here, because they have found these textures and added it to the game somedays. And I very appreciate what they did.
Yes.
After an hour or two I upload update, where plaza expantion is redused for all plazas. Now, as I found, some of them have too big coefficient.
It is almost done. Let me just add special digging tool for advanced pond creating.
By this logic anyone, who mods some stuff from a game, "puts game developer's work under his name".
