It's probably because this isn't a mod meant for use with the DLC. I'll make an amplified version when I'll have some free time feel motivated to do some pixel art.

it says "error loading images: entities/player1-armor-body.P (this part cuts off not sure if there's more than just p) Mod: downloaded-mods/Ruby Rose contact the creator for assistance" everytime I try to use it

Haven't played at all during a long time, if they did change something, the mod might have been broken.

You can go into the mod's folder and replace the "player1" in the names by a "charX" where X is the character you want to play.

Aria would be char2_armor_body.png and char2_heads.png, for example.

I'll probably do the other characters of Team RWBY in the future, but not the characters of the other teams. If you want a specific character maybe I'll do it.
