Any change you can fix it so I can use it with Vox and all your other Civs?

all of your stuff but this one works with Vox Populi Community Patch, for some reason this one civ breaks it and make the game crash giving following error in fire tuner:

Very Cool but I always get spawned in an open field and well they we're originally in a forest in the series, an original spot for them in a forest in westeros would be nice, they're called children of the forest for a reason maybe because they can move quickly in the forest?! also no unique unit :(

This civilisation is so awesome in arborea just had my best game ever with over 1k culture per turn and over 2k science 660 gpt on extremely difficult.

@lobster: The CotF are getting balanced soon, but I'm not sure quite how. I'm thinking of either making the Heart Tree ofnly give +1 Faith and Culture or leaving the defense penalty at 30% but lowering the attack bonus to 15%

I just looked at it a bit, have added the mods to expansion2 to be able to play them in multiplayer games and that is where it didnt work like it should. Tested it launching as a mod and worked fine. Have to look over to see if ive typed something wrong...

@Ztyx: That's odd, since that hasn't ever happened to anyone else before. Are you using any other mods that might cause conflicts? If not, perhaps try unsubscribing/deleting the files and resubscribing

@Ztyx: I just tested it and it worked for me. The vision should show up a turn after the tree is completed; maybe that's what's confusing you.

@Techne: Thanks, this one has been my favorite since I drew up the concept for it. And many a war has been won due to the Heart Tree vision.

I added the unclaimed territory planting part to the description; I think it's mentioned ingame somewhere, but now it is here as well.

I just finished a play through, and I quite enjoyed this one. I may suggest however that you mention in the text above that you can actually build heart trees OUTSIDE your borders (but not in someone else's territory. I covered the map with heart trees as much as I could, planting them in hexes as close to other civs as possible, so I could see what was going on on their side of the map.

@bouncymischa: Red leaves and off-white bark would be perfect. I don't know if you could accurately portray the face without creating a new texture, but just the tree coloration alone should be enough. Thank you for the offer!

I'm not familiar with A Song of Ice and Fire, but from a quick google search it looks like the Heart Tree is a big tree with red leaves (and maybe light-colored bark), possibly with a face in the bark? I've got a big tree model I'm using for a Fairy Tree in one of my own mods that I could probably recolor for you to use as a Heart Tree model. Let me know what color changes you'd require.

Sounds great, I look forward to seeing it. As for the models, the easiest thing to do may be to look at some of the models makers here on the workshop and ask if they're willing to give it a go. A small tree model shouldn't be too complicated.

@Techne: Obsidian resource/units will be implemented in the Long Night scenario.

As for the forest model idea, I have no idea what software is used for editing/creating new models for the game, but if I did, that is what I would have done. I might look at some of the other workshop mods and see how they deal with new models some day, but for now I'm more focused on getting more of the civs out.

Makes sense. In terms of the UUs, what did you have in mind? Greenseers perhaps? Also, as the CotF are known for using obsidian weapons, perhaps something to do with that, or introduce it as a reasource?

As for the graphics. would it be possible to isolate the forest model used in the game, prune it back to just one or two trees, then colour it red? That might be easier than building a new model from scratch. In my current playthough I replaced the holy site model with the leaning tower of pisa under construction. Not perfect, and it looks like a white tree truck from a distance, but it's a little closer.

@Techne: I actually tried giving them bonus Forest movement, but it made them really overpowered for both early-game exploration and combat, so I took it off. They will get this bonus back in the upcoming scenario, along with an extra two unique units to counter the fact that the First Men will have Spearmen and Swordsmen.

I'm playing through them now. I like it, although you may want to consider giving them the promotion that lets them freemove through forests or treat forests as roads. They are the Children of the forest afterall. Also, I would love see an actual heart tree model one day, if one of the model makers could be convinced to take up the cause.

When I said this was coming late Monday, I meant it. Sorry for a long wait, and the White Walkers/Others should come later this week since I'm not going to write that much dialogue for them.
