I am all most done with the finally update and of course if there is any bugs or gitches with the custom models after the update just let me know here.

It should be fully done within a few more days.

Thanks.

@A88mph - You chest go to chest and click custom token and use any image file. For the original tiles i used the same method but instead of a custom token, i did a custom tile.

Custom tiles cannot be tinted while custom tokens can be tinted. If you want actual custom 3d models you will have to create them in 3ds, blender etc. To upload custom 3d models you have to go through the same process but instead of the generic objects you would select custom model and then upload the model.

I will make a tutorial on it and upload it as a mod some time.

Hey, I wanted to ask you how you made your tileset for the previous version of the mod. I wanted to use them as a Placeholder for a game I'm making, however other people cannot load the tiles since they are most likely not subbed to your mod.

On the other hand, these new tiles seem like they can be even better Placeholders since they are self changeable. How were those made?
Modtyrant  [author] 14 Nov, 2016 @ 11:24am
Really sorry about this, it's a temporary change but i will mend it. Any can feel free to take over the mod to if they don't like the new models i am currently working on, of course you won't know until i am done with them.

Sadly have to distance my self from derivitive works because it's just to easy to get into a bad spot with greedy companies.

Here is the pack of cards for this mod: https://mega.nz/#!5xggGZzT!v8TGKZrwwyHdaz1wvzv5903Aj4_RMUC0LlrrTstCFjI
It includes all cards in TCG/OCG in 813x1185 (8000+ cards). Use the TTS Deck Editor by Froghut for best results and make either 1 7x10, 2, 5x7, or 3 4x6.
I've also included another program called DeckPictureExtractor: https://mega.nz/#!NhIFUJba!VZnBJDV5-33ca_aFTBJqmJghFoGTXnfFT-ixdFASe74
This can convert your ydk files into a zip file of pictures so it's easy to make decks. Use ygopro (ygopro.co) or yugiohdeckbuilder.com to easily make a ydk file.

@DiscoStull Haha thanks.
TolpRomra 9 Jul, 2016 @ 10:31pm
Oh my god, I love you for making this.
Modtyrant  [author] 4 Jul, 2016 @ 1:48pm
@Digihuman You can easily track ATK/DEF Boost by stacking the boosting cards on top of the effected cards and add borders to the backs of all player's cards using their player color. That's how i do it anyways and that's how DOR does it.
Modtyrant  [author] 4 Jul, 2016 @ 12:35pm
@Digihuman Oh okay so i understand now basically you missed the point of my mod. It's not about bringing the original DOR cards but adapting the Modern Cards to the game format of DOR. This wasn't suppose to be a 100% replica of DOR.
Digihuman 4 Jul, 2016 @ 12:10pm
I don't know why you keep going on about ranges. DOR only has 2 types of range. The first is that of traps, and the other is an AoE...which whenever you make a card, you decide in advance. And even then, the options are usually "the adjacent 4 spaces" or "The surrounding 3x3 area".

And yes, I am making a giant list of cards. I don't need to write a specific range for all effects because most of them don't need them (I mean, most "Nature" effects are continuous board-wide effects, most Flip Effects are board-wide, etc. so it goes back to the 4-space vs 3x3 surround area thing).

I don't need to worry much about adding in new cards. For the most part, I'm starting with the original DOR cards (the biggest changes being a slight rule alteration regarding ATK/DEF boosts and face-down cards due to the difficulty of tracking those things, and giving a lot of normal monsters effects). I've covered all the Immortals and most of the Plants now.

Anyway, it's been nice talking, at any rate.
Modtyrant  [author] 4 Jul, 2016 @ 11:06am
@Digihuman OH yeah and then if you need more cards for your version you'd have to add to the list each time.
Modtyrant  [author] 4 Jul, 2016 @ 11:00am
@Digihuman "I will be making my own version" - You are going to have to make a gaint list of cards with each card's specific range, sounds boring and tedious but good luck. Also the difference in gameplay would be bearly noticable a lof of your cards would do the same thing in my mod.
Modtyrant  [author] 4 Jul, 2016 @ 10:46am
@Digihuman Yeah that's fine you can use this as a base if you want too but i mean let's go back to the dividing people part. In DOR ranges are mostly decided by the effects goal, which is the same way i do it. Your criticism applies to DOR and my mod by extension. If i adapt the NON-DOR cards then id have to pick ranges for those cards and NOBODY is never happy and there is all ways someone who complains. I made it this way because that's how i wanted it and a mod like this is open to interpretation when it comes to NON-DOR Cards.

Which is why i don't understand why you said i put no effort into it (the rules). Clearly there has been effort made, otherwise there'd be no rules or a way to play the game.
Digihuman 4 Jul, 2016 @ 2:34am
Actually, if I may ask your permission, I'd like to use this setup as a base (by which I mean the tiles and setup, though I would switch out most other assets such as the cards, counters, rules, etc)
Digihuman 4 Jul, 2016 @ 2:22am
Yes, I did read the special rules card. I can't say I necessarily agree with your take on it, but to each their own. I would make my own version, but I'm not familiar enough with Tabletop Simulator yet to do so. Once I am, however, I will be making my own version which is closer to the original.
Mostly, I just need to figure out how to get a good, proper table size to have everything on, and how to create those tiles and make everything snap to a grid.

Also, quick note:
"divide people between long range and short range effects"
How has that ever been divisive? The Short-Range traps in DOR were always just that - their range was 1 tile away. Full-Range meant anywhere on the board.

As for making cards;
I do that for a hobby. I find it quite fun - made my own template in the last couple of days, as well.

Modtyrant  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 10:21am
@Digihuman I updated the description for the templates and here is the link - http://modtyrant.deviantart.com/art/Yugioh-Templates-619110147?ga_submit_new=10%253A1467479823

Also in side the rule deck for original rules did you read the special rules card? It adapts all ranges and special summoning rules etc. I have a feeling you missed that part.
Modtyrant  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 10:04am
Id like to add that most of the DOR cards have the exact same effect as their yugioh counter part or worse they completly removed the effects.
Modtyrant  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 10:02am
I made the card template my self. I can upload it to my deviant art account and then link it here.

I do not have the time to re-make every single card with new rulings some of which would be subjective which will divide people between long range and short range effects. (

Also that's a full time job with no pay, litterally thousands of cards and that's a rediculous thing to expect from me. Way too time consuming and ultimatly makes no difference in game play. The only difference between DOR and normal yugioh are card effect ranges which i all ready adapted to the standard cards. Also fusion works the same way in normal yugioh you just don't need polymorization.

Thank you for your comments though.
Digihuman 2 Jul, 2016 @ 2:06am
Second comment:
If I must criticise something, it's that you made no effort to adapt the cards to the gameplay. To each their own, but I personally feel that card effects should be adapted or re-written to suit the board gameplay.

Also, if I may, where did you find the template you used? I would quite like to make more DOR cards to use.
Digihuman 2 Jul, 2016 @ 1:55am
This looks cool. I made a modern adaptation of DOR myself, though not for Tabletop >_<.
Stars 12 May, 2016 @ 3:50pm
Alright thanks for the link, yeah I just assumed because I personally had a hard time getting such a high quality screen shot myself
Modtyrant  [author] 12 May, 2016 @ 1:20am
Here is the link to the Duelists of Roses tiles. I did not make them nor do i claim too.

Modtyrant  [author] 12 May, 2016 @ 1:12am
@Blutar No i didn't make them, in fact my friend got screen caps from the actual game and i am not even sure how he did that but he did an exccelent job. Yeah i can upload them to Imgur now.
Stars 11 May, 2016 @ 1:51pm
I just have one more question How did you get the high quality textures for the tiles? You see I make mat designs for fun and legit am wondering if you custom made them and if you would make the board tile images available to the public.
Modtyrant  [author] 11 May, 2016 @ 1:47pm
@Blutar I all ready had support for everything though except pendulum but i decided to just add it in anyways since it was simple enough but don't wanna do any thing special with it. I don't really hate it just don't fully understand it too lazy to actually go make a pendulum deck.

Most cards that would be broken in regular Yugioh aren't as big of a problem here because you have more time to defend against it. I could see it being a problem if you had the leader cornered that would instant;y let you pin them for a pinning win.

That aside.

I plan on adding two more decks with my template style, leader special ability rules (balanced) and optional rules just for fun.
Stars 11 May, 2016 @ 12:25pm
I don't care about pendulums either (I swear I could write a 10 page rant on that subject alone) I was just suggestiing the relevant info for say syncro xyz, similtanious summons. etc. Between you and me when I made the DOR style mat and rules I only made pendulums possible (albiet nerfed them slightly) because a friend of mine said it was technically part of the main stream game so I caved and made minor support for it,
Modtyrant  [author] 9 May, 2016 @ 5:40am
@Blutar I don't care about pendulum and i all ready made rules that support everything except pendulum. It's easy to implement pendulum, just summon them off to the side, simple tweak.

I am gonna be updating this mod soon with some better rule changes for the modern stuff and some more optional rules.
Stars 8 May, 2016 @ 7:25pm
Maybe make the rules like this to support modern stuff https://www.facebook.com/Yugioh-DOR-style-1085317118199494/
Modtyrant  [author] 3 Nov, 2015 @ 9:04pm
@Vx Mikester xV Yeah, unlock the space and place a new card down. The spaces are square cards, you can add in your own terrain cards by making a square deck of images.
MikeSter 3 Nov, 2015 @ 2:48pm
is there a way to create new spaces, like adding toon, mountain, water, crush, etc. to the board?
Gameboy Geek 21 Aug, 2015 @ 1:12am
OMG THIS IS AMAZING, I played duelists of the roses SOOO much as a kid, ahhhh such nostalgia. Thankyou, you made my day
