i'm thinking your gui is crashing my game
everytime i make a new world, since i've gotten this gui/hud, it started crashing.
just take a look at it
Was hoping just removing the files with "G Screen" in the name would do the trick but something else is causing crashes. Am happy this mod was runnable for as long as it did
Here's a copy of my modified Fonts folder with the new bordered fonts, for your review: http://www.mediafire.com/download/j26nl9xnnwkhxp6/Fonts_2016-04-28--18-59-11.zip
I also replaced the "white shadow" font with just a copy of the "white" font, and I didn't see any differences (but I may be blind to them).
Thanks!
However, I was aware that it might be just my specific configuration, this is why I said "maybe it's just me" in the first place. With 50+ mods it's not unlikely. So no offense!
I do wonder which mod might rely on the stock textures and cause a crash, though... Any idea how to get information about that?
offtopic: nice name, namesake ;)
Why don't you -1 Keen Software House, considering they are the ones blocking this content from the workshop. I'd gladly have this as a fully integrated mod, but, since this mod acts before the game session is even loaded up, it might not even be possible to make it available. You know. I tried to make it as easy to understand as possible, which is really all I can do here.
Unless you are too young to remember the days when this was how we updated, expanded and modded games, then I understand how your computer is a black box to such an extent that it is hard to follow the instructions.
The snarkiness, your sensibilities excused, is part of the tone we post our mod descriptions in, one way or another. You may have gathered they aren't entirely serious. If you cannot afford to download 235MB more of footage for the menus, then don't get that version. Please don't drag me in front of a court here where I must defend my choice of words.
You can just go here to download it: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bq11twr033kybnh/AADmcp5BUaxiUYdGoqYPzQ9ca/SpaceEngineers?dl=0

You can leave out the GMenu modification, though. You might experience some textures not fitting, but the extended menu is not essential. Just open the zip before copy and pasting and remove the gmenu file.
That aside, sorry, we won't optimize for 480p. 1080p is a contemporary resolution for gaming, some people even going beyond that.
I know my vid card isn't up to par for this game but I play at 640x480 cause it gives the best FPS for me.
Is there a way to scale down the G-Menu so it'll fit?
Also most of the G-Menu overlaps the quick bar at the bottom and the info for blocks overlaps the right side of the G-Menu at a res of 1280x720.
may i suggest that you put
"(Optional) Backup your "Content" folder somewhere in case you want to revert to the Vanilla GUI. But why would you want that?"
before
"Unpack it to your Steam Space Engineers folder. ~:\Steam\Steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\"
so people that dont know what they are doing see it first so its less of a headache for you if they didnt see it before overrind ing the stuff XD me on the otherhand i read a head but some dont...
