We are no longer playing, or modding Space Engineers. However, feel free to download and edit the existing pack yourself.
King DaMuncha 17 Nov, 2024 @ 5:05pm
Could this get updated?
Ced23Ric  [author] 4 Dec, 2016 @ 11:41am
Xnsy: Looks like it. For the time being, either don't use it or remove the script files and HUD Atlas texture from the pack before copying it in. Keen changed a lot on the GUI, as a result, this mod is outdated.
i hate you rara 3 Dec, 2016 @ 2:18pm

i'm thinking your gui is crashing my game
everytime i make a new world, since i've gotten this gui/hud, it started crashing.
just take a look at it

Pending some testing in the following days, I might get back into Spengies. If I do, first order of business is Warbros GUI 2.0 - there have been tons of changes. That version will be based of the current Keen GUI, so no old code/file derelicts will be in there.

RIP
F15RegalEagle 21 Aug, 2016 @ 12:49am
With Stable v01.144 this GUI mod now has something in the Content\Textures and Content\Textures\GUI folders are BOTH causing crashes for different reasons as soon as you open the G Menu. Almost 200 files there and I am not testing all of that. Rather just play the game with Keen's ugly stock GUI.

Was hoping just removing the files with "G Screen" in the name would do the trick but something else is causing crashes. Am happy this mod was runnable for as long as it did

Considering "Hiatus Warning": go try From the Depths - that game is everything which this game isn't. :D
Guswut 28 Apr, 2016 @ 7:28pm
If I may make a suggestion for an additional font to add to your mods: A black outline of two or three pixels for each of the seven font types. I tossed together something to see how it looks, and it is glorious. It makes the text far easier to read compared to any change in just the coloring.

Here's a copy of my modified Fonts folder with the new bordered fonts, for your review: http://www.mediafire.com/download/j26nl9xnnwkhxp6/Fonts_2016-04-28--18-59-11.zip

I also replaced the "white shadow" font with just a copy of the "white" font, and I didn't see any differences (but I may be blind to them).

Thanks!

does it iterdere with the UI signal update?
Cedup 4 Mar, 2016 @ 5:40am
So it WAS the Mod? ;)
Ced23Ric  [author] 4 Mar, 2016 @ 5:28am
... now that's just obnoxious. Thank you for the report, F15.
F15RegalEagle 3 Mar, 2016 @ 9:13pm
If you delete Hudatlas.tai and HudAtlas0.dds or just delete the HUD folder in Textures folder from the .zip you downloaded, you can run this mod again. Something to do with Keens new hitmarker crosshair is causing the game to crash while loading.
Ced23Ric  [author] 21 Feb, 2016 @ 11:12am
You will have to read your crash log. I can assure you, it is not this modification. It cannot be, as it does not change anything outside of graphics.
Cedup 21 Feb, 2016 @ 10:44am
Thought the same.
However, I was aware that it might be just my specific configuration, this is why I said "maybe it's just me" in the first place. With 50+ mods it's not unlikely. So no offense!
I do wonder which mod might rely on the stock textures and cause a crash, though... Any idea how to get information about that?

offtopic: nice name, namesake ;)
Ced23Ric  [author] 21 Feb, 2016 @ 10:21am
The GUI mod does not change any functionality, it just replaces some texture files. It is impossible for the GUI mod to cause a game crash. It is either a game mod you use or,equally likeley, Keen's own code.
Sovereign  [author] 21 Feb, 2016 @ 5:58am
I highly doubt that's caused by the GUI.
Cedup 20 Feb, 2016 @ 1:33pm
It looks pretty nice! Sad thing it made my game crash when trying to join a server... maybe it's just me, but it won't work for now.
Ced23Ric  [author] 13 Feb, 2016 @ 10:13am
Cool beans, EnterpriseKid.

Why don't you -1 Keen Software House, considering they are the ones blocking this content from the workshop. I'd gladly have this as a fully integrated mod, but, since this mod acts before the game session is even loaded up, it might not even be possible to make it available. You know. I tried to make it as easy to understand as possible, which is really all I can do here.

Unless you are too young to remember the days when this was how we updated, expanded and modded games, then I understand how your computer is a black box to such an extent that it is hard to follow the instructions.
ArgentPhoenix11 13 Feb, 2016 @ 9:36am
God dammit. i hate manual install mods. -1
Ced23Ric  [author] 4 Feb, 2016 @ 2:43pm
I am almost certain this is Keen's doing. Whatever. I am leaving.
Mad Mav 4 Feb, 2016 @ 10:31am
I was simply saying, albeit in a similarly snarky manner, that with no info on what the "videos" are, there's no reason to ask "why would you want this? If folks aren't given the information, they can't make an informed decision, much less have reason to find snarkiness funny. That's all. Now quit getting snarky about MY getting snarky about YOUR getting snarky!! lol Also, thank you for explaining what the video files are.
Ced23Ric  [author] 4 Feb, 2016 @ 10:19am
Look, Hicabilly... I am not here to sell you anything. I am putting something online the Sov and I made for our own, personal use. In the process, we added some different videos, to replace Keen's. If you don't care about that, get the version without videos. If you want to see the ISS flyover or a shortmovie about all kinds of space travel environs, then get the video version. The difference is 235MB, ish.

The snarkiness, your sensibilities excused, is part of the tone we post our mod descriptions in, one way or another. You may have gathered they aren't entirely serious. If you cannot afford to download 235MB more of footage for the menus, then don't get that version. Please don't drag me in front of a court here where I must defend my choice of words.
Mad Mav 4 Feb, 2016 @ 9:50am
What's this "Without videos" option?? Meaning: tell me what the videos are in the mod description and I'll decide whether or not I want them. That snarky little "why would you want this?" jab means diddily squat without info to inform the decision (or inform the snarky-ness, whichever).
wanderingrocker4545 2 Feb, 2016 @ 4:33pm

XCanG 25 Jan, 2016 @ 4:01am
@SpetS it's a GUI that posted there ColtonCub3D (see down).
You can just go here to download it: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/bq11twr033kybnh/AADmcp5BUaxiUYdGoqYPzQ9ca/SpaceEngineers?dl=0
Sovereign  [author] 24 Jan, 2016 @ 2:23pm
We didn't make the mod you are referring to.
SpetS 24 Jan, 2016 @ 12:53pm
sry I dont have a screenshot, but here about min 1:24 - the GUI is very transparent with blue, now is grey and not fully tranparent

I have no idea what you mean, SpetS.
SpetS 24 Jan, 2016 @ 11:07am
hi! do you still have the beautiful, crystal clear blue old version by any chance? Im still have that version coz I installed it a while ago but I dont have the original files anymore. And people are constantly asking me where to get this blue version
Cheetah 22 Dec, 2015 @ 11:00am
+1 for Kalashnikov on logo.
XCanG 13 Nov, 2015 @ 8:10am
@ColtonCub3D thanks, this is way better.
colton't 7 Nov, 2015 @ 4:45pm
Would love it if there was a version without the noise (the blurred effect in this mod) and just a really clean, sleek look (kinda like an update of this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/spaceengineers/comments/2qzegu/transparent_gui/)
Ced23Ric  [author] 3 Oct, 2015 @ 3:33am
So, we just checked, and ... the mod still works 100%. Yes, there is some overlap when selecting items in the G Menu, but there is only so much space to use on a screen. You can still download and use this GUI change, and it will wor as it is intended.
Ced23Ric  [author] 25 Aug, 2015 @ 8:58am
Sorry, Rathlon. We no longer actively support this mod.

You can leave out the GMenu modification, though. You might experience some textures not fitting, but the extended menu is not essential. Just open the zip before copy and pasting and remove the gmenu file.

That aside, sorry, we won't optimize for 480p. 1080p is a contemporary resolution for gaming, some people even going beyond that.
Rathlon Tobias Riverwind 24 Aug, 2015 @ 8:22pm
I noticed this mod doesn't like low resolutions.
I know my vid card isn't up to par for this game but I play at 640x480 cause it gives the best FPS for me.
Is there a way to scale down the G-Menu so it'll fit?
Also most of the G-Menu overlaps the quick bar at the bottom and the info for blocks overlaps the right side of the G-Menu at a res of 1280x720.
F15RegalEagle 17 Aug, 2015 @ 3:33pm
The "High Visibility Yellow Font" mirror no longer works, can that be fixed? I verified the SE cache and forgot that manual installs are deleted that way..
C R Y T I S 8 Aug, 2015 @ 5:25pm
Just to let you know, some of the hud parts are overlaping each other and are starting to malform (such as the G-screan part selector overlaping over the hotbar).
SirPoopTrain 5 Aug, 2015 @ 5:05pm
ok
Ced23Ric  [author] 5 Aug, 2015 @ 4:07pm
I have removed nothing, Steam did. The mirrors still work.
SirPoopTrain 5 Aug, 2015 @ 3:34pm
hey u know that u have removed all the downloade links right ?? so how am i going to downloade it ?
Barquise 13 Jul, 2015 @ 2:58pm
ok
Ced23Ric  [author] 12 Jul, 2015 @ 5:11pm
Work on this mod is suspended for the time being. Both Sovereign and I don't play SE anymore, haven't for a long time. Once SE gets 64bit / multicore, we might be back.
Barquise 12 Jul, 2015 @ 10:29am
hey man(or woman, i dont know), i dont know if you noticed it but it seems that you cant see the gravitation and sensor feilds. I mean im a guy who likes to make cool desighn where the gravity feild isnt 20 meters away from where its supposed to be. And i dont know if other people have asked you this already, or if you are updating it, but can u please try to fix this issue, well not issue but please can you try to fix it, i would really appreciate it if you got this fixed.
powerkane 24 Jun, 2015 @ 10:56pm
sweet yah this gui tweek is awesome the onlything i noticed is the dampners dont switch between off n on on the ui but the pop up message shows up saying off or on maybe my game is bugged
Ced23Ric  [author] 24 Jun, 2015 @ 2:32pm
powerkane: Done!
powerkane 23 Jun, 2015 @ 2:09am
i like this far more than vanilla its too intrusive hopefully in the future they add a adjust tranparency option

may i suggest that you put
"(Optional) Backup your "Content" folder somewhere in case you want to revert to the Vanilla GUI. But why would you want that?"
before
"Unpack it to your Steam Space Engineers folder. ~:\Steam\Steamapps\common\SpaceEngineers\"
so people that dont know what they are doing see it first so its less of a headache for you if they didnt see it before overrind ing the stuff XD me on the otherhand i read a head but some dont...
