Wow, this gun is really OP! It does 52 damage with the magnum rounds! Imagine a 2 shot kill LMG. But with the really long barrel and 7.62x51mm bullets it makes sense. Especially if magnum rounds are added...

is there any way to turn down the damage with this gun because it is super over powered. Would love to use it in our server for the RU faction but the damage is crazy op with this gun sadly

I agree with EJdude, the gun operates just fine, but all the problems listed are what kills the usage of this gun....

1: this overwrites the current CSS M249 model because someone was to lazy to make a new model path, and 2: it should not be a closed bolt weapon, it is an open bolt machine gun and the fact that in-game you can load 201 rounds as opposed to 200 rounds is unrealistic, also the cartridge is wrong, but I can forgive that because there is no 7.62x54MMR in CW2.0 by defualt.

can you give me a general place to look for the texture of this so i could maybe create a costom look for it?

is there going to be more? cause if you take requests (as most CW 2.0 creators DON'T.) i actually want to see a Colt Single Action Army.

Thereis no .308 NATO, .308 and 7.62x51mm are two different cartridges, concerning load. Note that you can safely fire 7.62 out of a .308 barrel, but not the other way around.

....I like the model and textures and all that, but why does is fire .308 nato? It should be 7.62mm x 54r

@Mediteer To deploy the bipod make sure you have it equipped in the customization menu. Once you have it equipped, find a ledge, table, or semi-tall object, angle the gun as if you are resting it on the object. You might have to crouch depending on the height of whatever you want to rest the gun on. A ui should appear telling you to press use to activate the bipod.

@Wildstarftw, The map is GM Scrap Metal by me (not to advertise ;)). And the background effects in the screenshots appear to be just Super DOF or just depth of field from what i can tell

I would recommend changing the name of the w_model as it conflicts with that of the stock CS:Source M249.

You have to be near a surface that will allow you to use the bipod (You will know when you can because there will be a large prompt telling you to press the "Use" key to deploy the bipod)

HEY! Very nice swep here, but one big mistake: The PKM is chambered for 7.62 x 54 mmR cartridge, not 7.62 x 51. If you are curious, I beleive the "R" in 7.62 x 54mmR stands for "Rimmed" as the cartrigde has a rim that protrudes out from the bottom of the case, unlike most modern cartridges which are non rimmed.

So did you start making weapon addons on the CW 2.0 base? Or did you start with something else? I'm curious.

The iron sights do not work correctly for me. They go off to the side of the screen.
