You can adjust intensity of the shine using VMT. Recolor? Not really.

Okay, I checked it out. Yes you are right, there is another model knwon as ingot001. However, I will still keep this item in the SFM Workshop for two reasons; yes it's cleaner, and because I am planning on makng an entire pack of items (this is sort of a demographic for my project). :)

Uhm guys, I have bad news for you: props_mining\ingot001 is the exact same model as yours, even with the boxing cangaroo logo. The only difference is that it's dirty, so your job wasn't unnecessary afterall.

:/ I am in a similar position. I am finding Blender a bit simpler to use than SFM. I have a whole project I am working on and this was one of the pieces for it, but I decided that this will be better to keep here. Plus, since I am working on huge prefabs and practicing with models, I may as well share some sutff with the community, and then later on, share the entire package. Overall, I am working on something big. :)

but i do LOTS of renders which i throw at deviantart

i'll find a use for those bars eventually :V

It came with the circles together, so did disappear with lights applied on the model.

Oh, I see. It's a similar thing with my 4th picture. It doesn't get that much of a weird material. However, is there still an issue where it looks see through?

Okay, tested it a little deeper. Those strange circles disappear if I apply a light, so I guess it's no more a problem, since everybody will use lights.

Alright, I talked to Faiz about it. You will need to alter the map AO and change the tonemapscale, if necessary.

Uhm, I just tested it, it looks pretty good, however, if you point the camera at the further end of the bar, something strange happens. It's like if I can see into it, and some circle appears. Same happens when you inspect it from below, from a specific angle.

This item I originally planned on sharing it later with the community, on a map I was planning to work on. So far, I have concept art almost finished, but I still need a team of builders. Have you tried out the model yourself via SFM? I am just chcking to make sure the textures are fine. :|

Don't know, I have the golden bar from Left 4 Dead, it came with the DLC within SFM. Anyway, I see the new picture, it's really great!

@[Symmetry], I modified the bar a little bit with Faiz, and updated the post itself. This is sort of my first post in general and I am currently working on other things. However, I appreciate some criticism to fix anything that makes it incomplete.

I know, I was making a test with it. This was for now just a replacement. I will post a better picture of it in a few minutes, if possible. EmperorFaiz had a great picture to include with it too. Also, I did some research and there was no L4D gold bar. There are models around, but they aren't TF2 styled and don't have the right Australium symbol. :/ Worth checking out once it will start going from Beta to Alpha.

This is actually TF2 syled. And this has a symbol on it justifying that it's an Australium Bar, not just a gold bar. Plus, this is kind of my first model, so thinking that there neeed to be at least a TF2 styled Australium Bar somewhere, I made it. :/
