*** SPOILER ***
Like the in the original Myst game, if you decide to help either brothers then you end up getting trapped and the game ends. That was the same concept here.
To get the final ending in this Mod you will have to get to the final location. Just as in original Myst.
Sorry for any confusion! I think that this part of the Mod probably needs a bit more hints to move the player along. When I first created this, perhaps there was too much of an expectation that players would understand the ending since it is pretty much tit-for-tat with original Myst.
I should work on an update soon!
Instead of “blue” and “red”, why not have a metaphor like "The gate is craving for a ruby." with a torch next to the grey alcove to make it less innocuous on the grey wall? Instead of “…”, why not tell the player "Art evaluation: Nothing to evaluate." or something?
Then there’s the sound wall. Why would you start counting from the top as if you were reading text? A more logical start would be the lowest note at the bottom-left or the highest one at the top-right. More unnecessary guessing that could be prevented by a simple note of the composer saying "I was pulling levers from top to bottom and eventually found a nice melody." to clarify his method.
These tiny changes might make the riddles too easy for some, but less frustrating for those who play without point-and-click mentality.
So far the puzzles are very hard.

The Mod is currently being submitted for approval to NexusMods.com as well.
If you have any questions/feedback, feel free to post on the Mystrock.com forums, the Grimrock.Net forums, or directly on the Comment section of this Steam Demo version.
Thanks and I hope you all enjoy the gaming experience. Cheers!
i would like to help you in quality testing. I am very experienced in it and would appreciate it.
Regards,
Dieter
I am happy to say that development of the final version is complete! The name of the full version is: "Mystrock, Artisans Path"
Now that development is complete, I will be taking a few extra days for quality testing. I want to make sure there are no game breaking bugs. If all goes well, the final version will be uploaded in 4 days.
There are currently 36 maps being finalized for the full version of Mystrock. I anticipate adding 1 or 2 more Maps before the final release date of, September 30th (about 5 weeks from now). More screenshots will be posted as we get closer to the release date.
In the final version I provide a lot more "back story" to help give all the same context that is found in the original version of Myst. I am very honored that this demo has been received so well by the community, and I am working hard to make sure the final version is much more engrossing and compelling.

I will start checking this page daily now that the activity has picked back up. Thanks for playing, and I assure you that the final version is in the works!
Some of the boss battles were rather annoying, especially the rat boss one and skeleton one which force ranged combat on you.
I am about 1 month away from completing the final product. All 5 Ages of realMyst will be fully explorable: Stoneship, Channelwood, Mechanical, Selenitic, and Rime. Cheers!

Here is how you beat the Demon Wall:
Ranged attack is key, although melee attacks are plausible as well with the right timing. First, kill every Giant Crab on the Wall. Once they are all dead, destroy the Breakable Wall behind each of them. Behind each Breakable Wall is a Pressure Plate. You cannot walk in to that area as you will be teleported out. Instead, you must throw any item towards the pressure plate.
Once all 4 pressure plates have an item on them, the spear gate will come down releasing the Skeleton boss. Kill him to end the battle and beat the level. Viola!
and I have no map of creation model to fill finally understand I am glad to see that there are people who make beautiful creation in shower congratulations and thank you
They key is: 1-3-4, then 6-11-9. The counting begins with the Top Row.
Click the top-left button, then the top-middle button, then the top-right lever. Next comes the bottom row. Click the bottom-left button, then the bottom-right lever, and finally the bottom-middle lever.
Let me know if this works for you!
