That's fine. To be honest, I think Warrior is the Default Skill Type. I think I've seen it before in Dredmorpedia and Dredmor Wikis.

couldn't you just take the tourist tree and have the same effect?

Really? With the proper build/set the game is still tough to beat on high difficulty... Surely you can set it up with current skills to be even harder, but empty skills just make it more boring on top of that, with less stuff to do... I mean, it's an optional mod, sure, go for it - I just can't wrap my head around this one :) :AOESheep:

@Kingzan I think it does matter actually! It alters how some of your stats grow between levels. So the warrior points are a kind of modifier that help dictates how high your physical stats are going to be at any given level (and is another reason why skillsets with lots of levels increase your actual maximum level as a whole). So, in a way, having no "empty skills" that provide no bonuses limits the character's maximum level, but having empty skillboxes that exist, but serve no unique perks, will still increase your stats and level when you take them.

Just sayin, that looks like a Diggle Cloverfield...

@ChosenUndead It is not possible to take more than 7 skills.

Do you know if there is any way to allow 8 skills to be chosen in the begining?

This could make for some really painful random runs :)

@asyaoran20 I just looked it up and apparently I did assign them all the warrior class. Skills won't validate without a type, so each skill will give you one point in warrior. I could change it to balance it out between the three classes, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't really do anything.

Damn you beat me to it. Had this idea just yesterday.

@asyaoran20 I didn't assign them a class type.

how do you manage to have it so the skill doesn't give the first point in wizard/warrior/rogue? do you make the skill type something else?

Well, this is not something seen everyday. I guess i no longer have the problem of the "extra-useless-for-current-build" skill. Wich makes me very, very happy.

I hope this becomes really popular
