Now this is a funny thing. Being close to the "Bus" that drives between the two lit zones will cause Nombat to think that you're in a fight and switch to combat music. Now the big thing I would change if I could would be to add some extra busses driving between the lit zones.

If i understand right, this is not a sirens. There two power boxes near them. There is two batteries, one in each settlement. Put a battery in the power box and rotating lights will activate.

That's strange, I have all the games needed and they're all mounted in garry's mod. I appreciate all the support you've given so far, but i guess it must be something more complex (perhaps the game engine is running out of memory, or something.)

map CONSISTENTLY crashes in a P2P launch scenario, tested by myself and a friend. map was run as an isolated addon on vanilla installs.

Oddly enough have been experiencing crashes on the map when attempting to launch in multiplayer. Will have to do some testing to see if i can reproduce results

since others are ACTUALLY commenting on this map, I'll add my little blurb here too.

As a Metro 2033 fan, this map is so awesome. heck, i loved this map before i played the metro games. It's complex, atmospheric, and dangit, it's just awesome. the npc events make it feel a little less lonely when in singleplayer, which is a must considering how terrifying the darkness is.

I never knew how large this map truly was, my best guess the reason this is 4/5 possibly has to do with people not having proper computer power in order to run it (for me, there is a little bit o crust but it is easy to ignore) but also possibly due to it being very massive so people probably got lost easily despite some of the painted arrows laid through certain areas, of course, thats my theory to that possibility. If anything, I'm curious if anyone had ever mapped out this behemoth, because honestly it's impressive.

I remember having played this long ago but lagging badly, but I guess thats what happens when you dont have a good computer, Coming back to it now after discovering it on someone's collection list (but also searching for maps with exploration elements mixed with combat sequences within certain places, I guess sorta like the coast levels but within a large map with places to explore that housed enemies within them that was hopefully well optimized similar to them) and instantly recognizing the icon,

I tried to build a navmesh and ran into an interesting problem - the navmesh generator HATES the stairs in this map, so I had to mark every stair landing individually. Not sure if there's any way to fix that.

You can generate navmesh wheresoever you need. You just need place nav_mark_walkable where you want to start. There more useful commands: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Nav_Mesh_Commands#Mesh_generation .

Yes, "lightmappedreflective" can work like cubemap. In another words: You can replace cubemap reflection with real-time one.

How'd you get the real time reflections at the spawn?
Did you put down a floor, make it transparent, and put a mirror under that?
Or is that just one brush with actual real time reflections on it?

Nicely sized map with a lot of potential! I'm assuming it's a bit too late for sweeping changes given the map is from 2014, but if I had to make a suggestion, I feel like the lit areas are way too bright while the dark areas are too dark. Adding some dim lighting to the dark areas while toning down the light in the city areas would help give the map more aesthetic value, I think

Do I still need, the content? It says it's not required. Unless, "Content Used" is another way of saying, it requires *this* and stuff. Maybe? Other than that, the map looks pretty promising so far.

I beg you to make a map similar to this. There are very few good maps with this pitch-black environment, and such scale. City Ruins is the only one that comes close, and that map has some skybox issues. Keep up the amazing work!

Ive noticed that the first radio (In the break room with The Boaka Vending Machine) is different. At part 0:38 or so. There is a guitar in the background but in the Youtube Video there is none or is very barely heard. I'm just wondering why that is. Is all.
