Small suggestion you should maybe make it as an item, like a gun with a cable by example, and force people to craft the gun to be able to use it.
just an idea to get it more immersive its already good
@howardxu23: The universe is funny like that at times. ha!
- Honestly, I think the answer is "zero" -- but the only way I got the script to work is to have a material. :'-) -- I want it to have NO COST -- but when I took out the lines of code, the mod crashes.
- I have not tested coop. If it is not, then I definitely will look it it this weekend/next week to fix it.
- You CAN use it in gravity. I was using it to scale mountains last night. HA. -- you CAN also use it to target a moving/flying grid. :)
- In my testing: you _generally_ cannot stop yourself in a straight-fall-downward. It MIGHT be possible to hook a wall/cliff/grid that would halt (the restart) a fall. BUT F=m*a. Note: this is with default gravity, with the max of 110 m/s for a player.
- The big issue is the hook needs "travel time" -- it's MUCH SLOWER than player movement at terminal velocity in vanilla. Thus, you will be SUPER SQUASHED with greater than earth-like gravity + the speed mods.
Just like in Attack on Titan.
I'm building some towers.
id like to get some more information that didnt get answered by the moddescription before putting it into a survival world and potentially a coop survival world:
- how much are used up when using the hook and is the usage per hook or per meter hooked?
- is it coop compatible?
- can you use it on a planet to hook upwards on top of a build or to reach a flying grid?
- is it strong enough to slow down or even fully arrest you fall when you fall to stop yourself from beeing splashed on impact?
some informations on that part from me:
in both potential worlds the possible speed is increased to 150m/s large grid, 200m/s small grid and thus resulting in 210m/s charspeed, x1 inventory multiplier (so 400L characterinventory size) and the starting out point is on pertam with 1.2g.
The next test: attack/assaulting ships WITH jet packs on ... and using it as a boarding tool ;)
but gl with the idea you have lol, hopefully clang doesn't pull anything in the middle of it
BUT it'd be MORE fun if you could tag your friends while playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaUHtBxW0zA
