Can't say I'm shocked they deleted the mod. This shit should've been finished years ago but they kept reworking what was supposed to be a simple model and texture swap mod for Halo 3 but oh well. Seems like Halo modders half the time are lolcows and Kashiiera is just another one in a long list.

I did an update last night but anyone who played originally might have noticed that some configurations like outlines weren't working. Well they are now so it should be back to like it was before it was deleted thats to help from others in the community that were able to get me the correct JSON files. I tested it out but so far it all seems to be working.

the mod is pretty good. there's a barrier in T&R when we do the main shuttle bay skip. looking for mods of other levels.

what sucks is that THIS ENGINE is perfect, its PERFECT for Halo CE remake honestly I'd see a Halo 2 evolved any day as well.

@De Nidas From what I've been able to gather, yes. Was tough on Halo Campaign Evolved, got backlash and deleted all her socials and the mod page. Some are painting it as pure transphobic hate and some are painting it as pure opinion criticism. I think there's a mixture. It's a shame overall. Was looking forward to the whole campaign being done one day.

I have no idea what happened but from what I gather, it sounds like Kashiiera expressed her own opinions on something online and got so much hate to the point she decided to delete her online identity as well as the mod. Is that accurate or is there more to the situation? Either way, I am very sad one of (if not) THE BEST Halo modder is gone and her Magnum Opus is left unfinished.

To play devil's advocate, when someone enters the ring (speaking in a public forum about a newly announced game), don't be surprised if people get upset at you because of your opinion. How you handle yourself is paramount in those situations. Halo Studios were interested in hiring her, but now that's long gone. I wish her the best and hope that she continues to mod.

Looked more into it and I agree with her that Anniversary was treated too harshly. People act like that remaster is as bad as Halo 5 when the worst thing about it is the mission 343 Guilty Spark being too bright (that level still looks great, even if the atmosphere was ruined). Obviously, she was quite harsh with the remake reveal per tweets you can still see when searching her on Google. According to certain comments, she was let's say very passionate when talking about the remake, and then received pushback. Obviously, there will be those who will use it as an opportunity to attack her beyond just her opinion on the matter. I wouldn't label everyone disliking her as a transphobe. Seeing lots of comments critical of her that aren't bringing up her gender or anything of the sort. Almost entirely how she handled herself on social media. I would dig through every one of her personal comments but her X is gone.

You can't even criticize or make fun of (rightfully so and deserved btw) a UE5 remake nobody asked or wanted for by a studio that dragged the entire halo franchise through the mud for the past decade without being cruciifed by the community for it. The halo community deserves it atp lol

No comment on any trans stuff or other beliefs. Live how you want to live and believe in what you want to believe as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. Emphasis on hurt, nothing less. With that being said, odd that the old page got nuked. I get disappearing off the internet after getting harassed, but deleting the zero cost page for a mod is a bit much. Hope Kashiiera is able to live in peace. These two levels were great and I hope someone else does the rest of the CE levels if Kashiiera doesn't return.

I like how Halo: Campaign Evolved looks so far. I think there's some faults, but the hate for it is so overblown by miserable, pessimistic people.

Thought, I can't say it'll be good, since we've only seen one mission so far, but in the same sense, we can't say it's bad either for the same reason, and that it's in pre-release alpha. Things can change, for better or for worse, as we saw with CE:A's beta compared to release.

I just wish we had more optimism, this constant negativity is tiring to see, and I can see why people lash out when they constantly see it from people, so for everyone, let your hair down a little bit, and spread being positive. Don't shut people down for disliking or liking it. It's all subjective, anyways.

As someone who loves modding Halo 2, trying to make a 100% new asset from scratch is extremely time consuming, and in the end you are heavily limited to the technology of that time.

MythicJaqui made a Halo Mass Effect mod and Classic Mark V Master Chief in Halo 4 and even that was an extreme undertaking with character, ai, weapons, rigging, animation and 15+ other tags per asset on average. Its a lot of work for usually one modder doing the bulk of it.

The guy needs to start collaborating with other artists and programmers, if he ever wants to escape development Hell. This Atlas mentality is what causes burnout real quick for many programmers/developers.

It never ceases to amaze me how utterly shitfounded some peoples' level of empathy can be.
Hope Kashiiera is okay and realizes that the loudest are often the lowbrow minority and nothing to lose heart and home to. DWYWD.

Also yes, I also find people are a bit harsh on the OG CE Remaster myself, but I always enjoy new graphical takes on older stuff, and so don't some other people.

Tl;Dr, to my knowledge Kashiiera posted a completely reasonable take about the Halo CE Remake on twitter and 343 bootlickers that must consoom everything flung some transphobic shit her way, prompting her to disappear from the online space. It's not the first time the Halo/Halo modding community has done something like this, including some pretty high profile figures within the community.

Sad it's not just H3CE that is gone now but the early/cut Halo 3 maps that got fixed are now gone too. I still have Kashiiera's Mark V Halo 2 luckily, plan to add it to the Mega Modder Resource for Halo 2 Classic MCC Seasonal Content soon when finished.

I never agreed with all Kashiiera's takes on the series but her work is solid and she deserves the praise for it. I wish her the best.
