like you do in vanilla, you open the settlement menu with C, go to settings and click expand, first you have to do the vanilla stages, then you can continue endlessly with the mod

Does this mod remove the restriction that there are NPC villages around that make it impossible to expand? This feature is in great need

don't worry, this version of the game is new even for me. If someone didn't asked for this mod, I wouldn't even know it was possible too

that's what it does, kind of, you complete the vanilla one and then there is an exponential cost to continue

i wish there would be a mod to just have the last stage of the upgrade to double up in cost each time but be practically unlimited. thatd be a nice grindy endgame thing
