Nyaki Stryker 25 Oct, 2015 @ 7:59am
Would it be alright if i uploaded a modified version of this and gave you credit?
ReactorCowboy 29 Dec, 2014 @ 10:27pm
@ pck4d, what navy were you in? Real world frigates are meant for ASW and surface fire support. They are meant to punch well above their weight class. Not sure about the armament on this Heimdall, but the description seems to indicate the same. Real world frigates aren't a "base" for anything. In fact, frigs usually work with a carrier or an amphib to get their fuel and ammo. They don't have long range operation capability or endurance.

nice work, great ship!
Nyaki Stryker 29 Dec, 2014 @ 8:22am
I was wondering if you had a suggestion for a ship that may fit inside of the hanger with a connector on it to connect to this ship? I would also like to suggest maybe some sort of hanger door for the bay that could be opened or closed to prevent people from landging inside, or leaving XD Otherwise awesome ship!
Clamdigger 29 Dec, 2014 @ 1:10am
Good solid looking ship nice work.
Texmar 28 Dec, 2014 @ 12:37pm
@ pck4d, wouldnt a Corvette be the smallest? Yes a frigate would be small and be able to handle its own. I guess armament needs to be establish when setting up a ship for its classication.
Squall 28 Dec, 2014 @ 9:54am
Very nice ship and design! Also can't help but love that it doesn't have 200 different mods XD
-NR- Sir Limbo 28 Dec, 2014 @ 9:03am
for all in need of a definition for a ships class (like frigate): the military intention of a frigate is a medium sized ship, used as operation base for small missions. so basically it's the smallest possible base with a sufficient ammount of weaponery for either submarine, aircraft or ship hunt. this ship may be a bit too vast for this. the perhaps best class would be destroyer, a destroyer is a combination of an anti-sub, anti-air and anti-ship frigate with heavy firepower

Some one needs to setup an "offical" guide on ship classifcation in Space Engineers. Whats the length of this ship, # of blocks? I have a "Frigate" at 34-36 blocks long
Brother Operandus 27 Dec, 2014 @ 8:39pm
Vanilla Modders; we're a dying breed. Thank you, McLovin.
Ninja of Ni9ht 27 Dec, 2014 @ 6:26pm

R.4.V.3.N 26 Dec, 2014 @ 10:59pm
Oh crap! It's Cerberus! *Calls Commander Shepherd*
Mr Whiskers  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 10:17am
@GlaDOS All the white and yellow armor plating is heavy armor. The camo pattern is just gone because of the color scheme i chose.
Katakuri 26 Dec, 2014 @ 9:49am

Full Metal Jacket 26 Dec, 2014 @ 8:34am
@down because anything with heavy armor is slow?
Jenmare 26 Dec, 2014 @ 7:55am
Erm... Heavy? All I see on the screenshots is LIGHT armor...
The Emperor's Faithful 26 Dec, 2014 @ 6:30am
i like the cerberus colors
Mr Whiskers  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 6:02am
Nah, it's too small still in my opinion
EnRet 26 Dec, 2014 @ 5:34am
well...frigate<destroyer<cruisers for size
maybe it would better fit as a destroyer?
Mr Whiskers  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 4:31am
What are you comparing it to when you say it's big? It's small compared to my cruisers.
MysteryretsyMysteryretsyM 26 Dec, 2014 @ 3:31am
nice thing, but maybe a bit to big for a "frigate"...
you should rename it
Mr Whiskers  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 1:45am
Great feedback guys!
mcborge 26 Dec, 2014 @ 1:19am
cool ship.
TarcoMarco 25 Dec, 2014 @ 7:04pm
Does this thing come with mods? I'd like to add it as a blueprint.
-NR- Sir Limbo 25 Dec, 2014 @ 6:30pm
very nice looking ship, seriousle
and a tip about turrets (i really thing this ship needs more, heavy frigates really do): if you deactivate them, they use up way less calculating power
Millie (They/Them) 25 Dec, 2014 @ 4:33pm
Its a very sexy ship! Well done!
Fox 25 Dec, 2014 @ 3:54pm
HEIMDALL, OPEN THE BIFROST.
101m4n 25 Dec, 2014 @ 12:01pm
I like.
Let me guess, stargate inspired?
HelloMeBob 25 Dec, 2014 @ 10:27am
Awesome

G_Tugg 25 Dec, 2014 @ 4:34am
Quite large for a Frigate but very, very nice.
Saturn 24 Dec, 2014 @ 1:44pm
frigate? that thing looks like a cruiser!
Barnaby Bananas 24 Dec, 2014 @ 12:31pm
c00l ship!
Braethias 24 Dec, 2014 @ 11:15am
ship like this isn't meant to move laterally. it would also break the aesthetics. Though it does look like it was built before missile turrets actually worked. either way, very nice looking ship. very roomy. don't think it would do well in actual combat though.
Wafflles 24 Dec, 2014 @ 11:12am
I giveup. I can't make anything even close to looking like this. All mine turn out to look like a regular crappy ocean craft with thrusters. >>.
You, my good sir, has talent.
Solifeaul 24 Dec, 2014 @ 11:01am
It's definitely a pretty ship, and there's pretty strong evidence that it was built a long time ago. You might never have uploaded it, or maybe you've just stuck with this building style since you've had the game. In any case, you might want to consider modifying it's left/right thrust capabilities, as it literally cannot move in those directions as it is now.
Braethias 24 Dec, 2014 @ 10:36am
My ships emphasise function over form. that being said most are totally hideous.
.Catamount 24 Dec, 2014 @ 9:58am
and then we found out

You have a real knack for the aesthetic, that's for sure, I just wish we had more people making their military vessels combat ships instead of show ponies. Beautiful work in any case, just don't trot it out for a fight. She might break a nail ;)
.Catamount 24 Dec, 2014 @ 9:30am
"Frigate" is a fascinating hull classification in that it's been used to refer to almost every size and roll imaginable throughout naval history. In this case, you've made one hell of a ship, pretty too.

I'll be curious to see how she actually handles in combat.
Überkaiser 24 Dec, 2014 @ 8:47am
Nice one !
greg 24 Dec, 2014 @ 7:39am
whoops
sorry
Mr Whiskers  [author] 24 Dec, 2014 @ 7:31am
For the skybox, check the description.
greg 24 Dec, 2014 @ 5:39am
what sky box do you use?
BIOCiiDE 23 Dec, 2014 @ 11:15pm
Very nice ship man. Though, I agree with Tristavius, the interior can use some curves, but the outside is breathtaking. Well done, you've clearly spent quite some time on it. In my opinion, all well deserved :3
Okim 23 Dec, 2014 @ 10:16pm
I like the fact that it doesn`t use all these pointless fancy mods. Looks great.
Hypervine 23 Dec, 2014 @ 6:13pm
Whats the background or addon or whatever that pretty thing is?
