@UncleRippu mods for different styles of ideologies, for example, are not converted very often, and personally, I am currently playing with the Fortifications Neolothic mod. But in reality, there are more mods that add doors than you might think. If you don't have a large list of mods, then the door perspective may be quite acceptable, but I have 1000 mods, so believe me, there are things that are incompatible with it

from the mods ive used (doors expanded, lts furnishings, VE furniture) the doors convert to perspective without much issue. ive ran into the issue youre talking abt like once with fortifications neolothic and medieval sure, but i really havent seen a ton of architecture mods that add doors.

@UncleRippu it really looks quite bad if you use the door perspective with other mods that add doors or styles for doors. It also adds inconvenience when you cannot see the type of door

@Raygne well, fortunately, it's not difficult to make a mod to remove the perspective doors, so I'm sure that even if I abandon this mod, my work will live on. And I think that my mod will remain relevant for a long time, since ReBuild rarely adds anything new. In addition, I seem to have convinced Helixien to make the textures in .png format in the next update, rather than in asset bundle format, since that was the biggest problem for me when I set out to make this patch. I had to extract them from the asset, whereas in older versions it was enough to simply change some .png files

@girlkisser by the way, I added some fixes for problems with Variations that caused red errors. I also tried to fix the texture of a simple door, which doesn't have variations in the original mod, but like Helixien, I couldn't fix it. But for automatic doors, the variations work

Sadly, this keeps it incompatible with Vanilla Texture Variations Expanded, but I can't imagine that's easy to make work when this adds its own textures. Plus doors are the only thing it doesn't work with, so it's fine.

Don't count on it. Helixian has a huge attitude problem.

I made this mod personally for my own playthrough, but I felt sad for those who doesn't like this perspective doors and decided to upload it to workshop. So I'm not sure if I plan to update it in case of major changes to the original mod. But in that case, I'll try to find someone else to take over its maintenance if Helixien doesn't bring that feature back

@VitaKaninen this feature was available before, but after the mod was released for version 1.6, he removed it. According to him, it is too labor-intensive to maintain two versions at once. I even discussed this with him a little and suggested making the normal door perspective the main one, since the modified one is not popular, requires a lot of effort to patch to other mods, and has many incompatibilities, but he simply did not respond and remained adamant on this issue. I don't know why this is so important and fundamental to Helixien 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Very few mods that also support door perspective

I wonder why he didn't just add an option into the settings to use regular vanilla doors. This is actually the whole reason I never used that mod.
