im ok if it doesn't work or is impossible to make in the first place (not like i can force any scripter to work for me anyway). Its just a crazy concept that came in my mind while i tested out my mod collection and thought it would be fun to implement. The deeper thing was that it would only affect the l4d1 riot - which is already among the l4d2 population -, who would use a modified version of the "Enhanced L4D1 Riot" model with a full body armour, like they're elite units or heavies idk. I didn't tell this part until now because, well, i needed to know if i wasn't just speaking gibberish in the first place. The hardest part is probably this last one, and its obvious i won't ask you to do it either, since its way beyond just scripting.
But if you CAN somehow produce a script out of my schizophrenia though, id be thankful asf.

well, im not sure how to make it since I haven't done anything related to riot zombies before so I'm not familiar with how they work. My best guess would be an allowtakedamage function (which should be able to reduce the damage before its applied). Not sure how that would work with the penetrate armour mod, but i can give it a shot

Pairing it with "Penetrable Zombie Armor" so they would basically be bullet sponges. Useful if you're in a very specific situation (like me) where these zombies have a chance of spawning with either an MP5, a nightstick or a riot shield (sometimes even the three of them) and want to add some balance by making them harder to kill in order to get the stash.

i had commented this in another creator's script, but is it hypothetically possible to make a script for the riot infected that makes them COMPLETELY bulletproof, even from behind? (basically adding their front armor hitbox to their backs as well)

If you're taking suggestions for script mods I have a suggestion.

I'd like to see a mod to remove the insta-death to commons/uncommons property from AMMO_TYPE_PISTOL_MAGNUM, AMMO_TYPE_SNIPERRIFLE, AMMO_TYPE_HUNTINGRIFLE and AMMO_TYPE_M60.

@Poppybits I guess you'd be right about that, but there are things the game does not tell you that you have to figure out yourself, like cr0wning, you can shove Hunters mid-pounce, don't shoot the Witch with incendiary ammo (or she'll chase you instead, unless that's what you wanted), or even the Witch herself. Survivors saying "shh, turn it off", most people ignore survivor voice lines anyway. Learning from experience isntead. Playing the levels would eventually teach the newcomers where the cars are and to avoid shooting them.

@千λllöut S. I’m guessing it might be kinda confusing for new players. Imagine playing this game for the very first time, you shoot some boomer down the street in No Mercy, and suddenly the game calls a megahorde because of an obstacle that the game instructor didn’t have time to tell you about yet. That’s what I’m guessing anyway. Still good addon tho.
