The Albino style with the red and pupil-less eyes looks IMO properly evil and uncanny for Halloween. (As even an albino rat has pupils IRL.)
But the white-and-brown-furred rat head with the realistic shiny black eyes looks far more "realistic" and, I admit, threw me off at first, too. It well-designed, don't get me wrong, but it looks... too much like a normal rat? I guess?
I must admit I *can* see why other people would think this is too detailed/too realistic, compared to the other more cartoony animal heads (esp. the Medimedes head) already in-game. The rat head is kind of cartoonish too, honestly, it's not like it's photorealistic, but... I can see what they mean.
On the other hand, when I compare this to Scout's "Horrific Head of Hare" head replacement, it's honestly not that different?
Soldier's "Freedom Feathers" eagle head (2013) is a bit more simplified, but Soldier's "Poopy Doe" chimp head and "War Dog" bulldog head (2021) are both quite detailed, shaded, facial flexed.
Medic's "Hundkopf" head replacement has about the same level of detail to the rat, too.
And given that it will be most likely Halloween-/Full-Moon-restricted anyway like other animal heads and full headmodel replacements (and Halloween items for i.e. the Pyro have gone to even more bizarre places!), I say go for it.
