Update:
The required clear "dance floor" space for pianos, harps, and harpsichords has been reduced to 5x5.
The pipe organ's required space has been reduced to 7x7. This is to better accommodate its large 3x5 footprint and the many pawns that can attend its rituals.
To fix that, I just knocked 40 points off any room requirement that was over 100. So the new cap you have to worry about is 200. Much more manageable.
But be warned, the ballroom is still a beast. I didn't touch the instrument requirements, and that pipe organ needs a huge dance floor. It's still going to be a space-eating monster, no getting around it.
The gallery, on the other hand, is super chill now. Just cram enough statues in there and you can make the room pretty tiny.
At least you can fire those 5 cleaner mechs you had permanently assigned to that cursed ballroom.
