@scuffed: I'm not sure how distribution tables work when loaded into an existing game. However, for the loot table to pick from the distribution table, you need to load new containers, which means you will never find the new books and tapes in places you've already searched.

Do i need to start a new game for them to load into the lootpool?

Due to how item categories and distribution work in the game, we cannot set rarity for specific items in Sandbox. This mod uses the vanilla item categories, so their rarity is set by Literature and Media respectively.
As for the coloured pages in the static world item, this is the same for all the coloured books in the game. I'll put it on my list to make custom textures for these though. Thank you for the head's up.

And as a final suggestion, it would be nice if in sandbox settings if you could change the rarity of books and VHS' since they are a bit common at times

Also just another thing ive noticed is that the world models for the books makes the pages coloured aswell as the cover

@Jacek Thank you for your kind words. I'll take that into consideration for a future update, but right now it feels like it belongs among similar books in the distribution system.

BTW: I just pushed a new update with the aforementioned fixes, more translations, plus some new tapes.

Sorry for the pestering but this mod is definitely one of my favourites!

Just a suggestion of mine but can you make police stations have a lot of apprehended books in their file cabinets since books such as short blade and axe doesn't seem very legal?

@pimatstudio Thank you, I will include this in the next update. I had updated one of the files, but not the other. Originally, I was just adding the skill books, hence the old name. Must have missed the one modfile the game actually reads :)

@jacek: Yes, this will come in the next update, alongside some more media items.

I advice that you use a consistent name throughout the mod.info and the mod itself. Cause it's now "Lost books" in the mod manager. It's a simple touch but very welcome indeed ;)

Awesome! This reminds me of the More skillbooks mod but more fleshed out for build 42! Could i possibly request for you to make the different books to have different colours?

So the feds aren't sure about looking trough some kids shows tapes...

No pipe bombs, yet.
But there may or may not be a VHS in there that teaches other... unsafe... things. You know... for KIDS! :D

it would be funny if there would be a true crime VHS that inadvertently teaches you how to make a pipebomb

is there any vhs based on 1984 book ? ( it is public domain irl ) and there was a movie in the 80s about it also the real life book was made in 1949 so it is 44 years after the book was created ingame
