unfortunately this not working in multiplayer for me. It flickers to life a little when the person i'm playing with is close in proximity, however it only shows up for the person I'm playing with but not me as the host. Hope this helps with bug finding.

It seems to work okay in multiplayer from some limited testing I just did.
However I did seem to come across a bug whereby foragable items only show up when the host is present (spectator camera seems to work for this too) in local-host multiplayer. Server multiplayer seems fine?

@Wyn how so? Is that just because I use the range of the ore detector as a base, and so longer range modded ore detectors increase the range of the plant finder?

I still haven't got around to testing it in multiplayer yet, but your experiences suggest that it doesn't work properly.

is this mod multiplayer friendly? friend of mine was trying to find food with his detector and could only see food pop up when i was in the area with mine, even when i left area the food would go away

It should be noted that this mod does not play well with other mods that extend the range of ore detectors.

can you do the ore detector to same distance as these and do a toggle (on/off) for plants so it just turns on/off this plant script?

I have personally had little issue. It is random though, which means that statistically some people are going to be less lucky than others.

im on the earth-like and have taveled for at least 30KM and have not seen food plants. found a few from random drops. is it really hard to just find food

It's hardcoded (at the moment?) to a maximum of 5x the ore detector range, and has a slider below the ore range under a header titled "plants"

Great mod, but there is one caveat that could used to be addressed. There is no config to be able to adjust how far that the Ore Detector can find forage items.

It's planet dependent, not all planets have foragables. Plus I think it might be biome/voxel dependent too. Flatter, greener areas I guess, just like real life.
Sometimes I would trip over them every few seconds, and other times went for quite some time between finding any

well that was fast
