overwatch nexus is dogshit, the last map is the only enjoyable part tbh

Follow freeman is really boring imo but this makes it feel fresh

Can't wait to eventually play the entire campaign as just (Sunset lighting and skybox). LOL

is this compatible with this mod, it changes everything so I doubt it is https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3565060718

Anticitizen one starts early in the morning I think, both chapters could easily take place throughout the day without it having to be sunset by the time without it having to be sunset, either way I think this looks good so idrc about the pacing

would be neat if d3_citadel_01 was nighttime but this is a really good mod nonetheless

@SleepyNotDead Yes, I will add the background maps after V3 for my other mod releases. Which should be pretty soon now!
Dean Dingus 8 Sep @ 3:48pm
Love it!

I agree

@justdeltaxd
Think it makes perfect sense? Anticitizen One is a fairly long chapter taking place during the day, after all that it makes sense for Follow Freeman to be around the evening, its even further supported by how when you're at the top of the citadel, it looks like the sun is setting.
justdeltaxd 8 Sep @ 10:23am
This doesn't make too much sense but sunsets are cool asf in this game so I'll take it
SleepyNotDead 8 Sep @ 9:00am
Whenever you find the time a matching background map would be appreciated too.
SleepyNotDead 8 Sep @ 9:00am
Everything looks good now.

thanks for the info

I download the VMFs from github. They are far less buggy than the versions when you use bspsource or something of the like to decompile them.
Lapa_20 8 Sep @ 3:17am
Where do you get the original VMF's? cuz if you decompile them these maps brake in strange ways.
Ultimate Kirb 7 Sep @ 9:27pm
Map's fixed!
Mohammed Toast  [author] 7 Sep @ 9:09pm
Okay. The patch is out. It should HOPEFULLY work now, but honestly I'm not positive.
Mohammed Toast  [author] 7 Sep @ 9:03pm
Alright. I'm in the process of completely remaking and recompiling that map. If it is still broken after that, I might just remove it from the mod. (Only maybe.)
SleepyNotDead 7 Sep @ 8:55pm
From my testing it was only the citadel map that broke, the later streetwar chapters looked and played fine.
Ultimate Kirb 7 Sep @ 8:45pm
Just tested for myself, yeah the Citadel (at least in d3_citadel_01, I didn't check any other maps) is completely broken.
CJTech01 7 Sep @ 7:46pm
I love the HL2 sunset atmosphere; it really fits in the game.
Mohammed Toast  [author] 7 Sep @ 5:28pm
Anyone else having this issue? if somebody doesn't mind installing the mod and checking, it would be appreciated.
SleepyNotDead 7 Sep @ 4:47pm
citadel is still a missing texture mess for me, i dont have any idea what could be causing this..
Mohammed Toast  [author] 7 Sep @ 1:49pm
@SleepyNotDead I am unsure why the cubemaps on that map are broken for you, as they are working for me. But, I have rebuilt them again and updated the mod. Hopefully that fixes it for you.
UnShu 7 Sep @ 8:05am
it's literality "Forget about freeman" of Black Mesa.
SleepyNotDead 7 Sep @ 7:58am
id send screenshots but you cant do that on steam comments unlike GB.
SleepyNotDead 7 Sep @ 7:57am
These look incredible, hope the background map gets added though :P

Also idk WHAT went wrong on my end but citadel_01 has completely broken reflections, bright missing texture cubemaps it seems. All the others looked fantastic though, really sets the mood.

Thank you! :)
MNC 7 Sep @ 3:41am
Well well, this is certainly a nice surprise... 'least I don't have to do all the work now. Glad to see I inspired you for this, great work!
