Great mod as always! Very good for long range sniping.
I only wish there was a digital scope with it. Like a sniper variant of the Nightstalker Scope to make it more usefull at night.

Gotcha, and yeah I know what you mean. We usually just make our own compats in-house to fix those kinds of things. Caliber (not the ace_caliber) heavily influences armor pen now in ace, so for pistols need to increase the caliber of ammo a lot to get it somewhat effective. Unfortunately with armor being rated for pistols it makes using them pretty hard are armored targets now though unless you break that system by increasing caliber.

@Brim we dont do ACE usually because it just is antithetical to JCA design. such as ACE making pistols next to usless, SMGs too. Whereas JCA specifically has high power ammo made for it to make them viable. if you are looking for ACE stuff, Laidback made the main ACE compat for JCA

@Brim as i have said, we dont take ACE into account when making these mods. If you want it to work with ACE you will need a compat. We do not do it nativity, JCA is vanilla based.

Hey @Grave, dunno if you missed it in what I posted before but the M107 is missing some ACE variables to be fully functional with ACE. ACE_barrelLength, ACE_barrelTwist and ACE_twistDirection are not defined in your config and lead to issues with the implementation into advanced ballistics.

@Pyro if thats the casethen no, we don't generall do anything other than basic scope data for ACE. we don't take other mods into account when making JCA.

You explained what it is, but now how it relates to his question at all. AI generated explainations aren't helpful. The ATragMX is a ballistics calculator added by ace. It uses data from the rifle such as twist rate, muzzle velocity, bullet coefficients, weight, atmospheric information, and other data points, to calculate ballistics information in order to hit a target with known variables.

I infer that Cesur is asking, "Will you add a data preset to the rifle so players don't need to manually enter and save their own information into the ATRagMX system."

If it's G7 you'll need to use an online tool to convert it to G1. I suggest using JBM Ballistics with their Drag Function Conversion calculator. https://www.jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmgf-5.1.cgi

@Grave they're asking because the other rifles you posted you added a default loadout for them.
However for everyone asking. You can get twist, weight, velocities, bore, and width from rangecard. You can get "C1" called G1 in ace arsenal by clicking on the mag. Tadah, loadout for the M107 or any rifle/ammo you want. Make sure you switch to the relevant type of unit from decimal to metric when entering values in. Don't put decimal value for metric which is default.

@Dickjoebob it's not to hard to set up stuff for atrag, everything is available in the rangecard and ace arsenal. @Grave, an actual issue is for the ace variables it is missing ACE_barrelTwist and ACE_twistDirection which in advanced ballistics gives it no spin drift.

@Dickjoebob if thats the case then no, the HPPO is the high power precision optic, its for precision shooting. the M107A1 comes with the AMR sight that is the HPCS high power combat sight, it doesnt have all the bells and whistles because its meant for vehicles and larger targets

Grave, You (and your team if you have one) have created some the most high quality equipment mods I've personally seen in all of my time playing Arma 3. You are pushing the standards of equipment mods forward with every release. Thank you for your tireless effort.

@Grave no i gotya was just curious was all, it is nice just no use for our guys since theres several already from other mods, tho we do use your UMP since its unique (only know of one other mod with one) an nice little pdw, but keep it :]

if you ever decide to do a larger calibre/anti-tank rifle (20-30mm) i would look forward to that

@S.Fox.C.Koneko well for one, it doesn't have a dependency on a larger mod. It has very nice reload sounds made by LordJarhead, it has custom animations made by me, where other m107s use mar10 or other vanilla anims. And as far as I know, NIARMS has no m107. We make our weapons to be lightweight in terms of file size, and make sure to have them consistent I colour's, function and general vanilla styling.

@Piligrim no, the weapons come paired with their attachments, the mods are already smaller than most and a good bit to maintain if things need changed, if you want a independent scope mod you will have to look elsewhere. As for ACE compatibility, we do not do that by standard other than some very basic things, we design JCA for vanilla by standard, vanilla damage model, vanilla mechanics.
