@Oatsy-Jr the high-five taunt was added all the way back in 2011, so you're about 14 years too late to argue about taunt functionality being limited to just insulting players. That ship has sailed my friend, and let me remind you that no one had a problem with it then. It wasn't a problem then and it shouldn't be a problem now.

@Hypo the point of in game taunts are to annoy the enemy for not killing you, idk what crack you're smoking if you think eating apples is annoying someone

@y2k Taunt is the name of the ability that exists within the game that plays an animation and sometimes comes with additional mechanics such as killing, idling, moving around, or even dancing with the enemy. So while you may think the word "taunt" limits it to one specific type of gesture, it's actually just the name of the ability in the game that already covers many different types of functions, not just taunting in the literal sense.

Great taunt, ignore the haters complaining about Emotes, they would have said the same for half of the default taunts too like Heavy hugging his minigun or Medic playing his bonesaw like a violin if they hadn't been around since launch.

I think its a good taunt. Is it possible to make the sniper use his melee instead of a spare knife in his pocket?

"Ahh, that’s apples, mate." is a clever, well-suited line for the Sniper. Delivered while eating, however, it feels ill-suited, risking the loss of its wit and coming across as stodgy.

Have the apple drop from above as if it were falling from a tree and it would be a nice lil emote. Not that much of a taunt though.
