It is open because it's intended to support mega giants (missions to come) but flat? There's lots of high ground and verticality. Map is also being actively worked on to improve it, B2 is currently WIP right now.

The map looks cool but this is REALLY open and flat, I don't think I'd find this very fun to do more than like one mission on. The reason flat maps aren't fun boils down to "Slightlines go both ways," just because you can see them doesn't automatically make it better imo.

I must be losing my mind because I thought the Atomic Sands sign was a "Spirit of Halloween" sign before I read the text.
The elevator shaft looks awesome, and the whole map has a nice visual appeal. Can't wait to give it a try

I LOVE the skybox and the entire area near the robot spawn with the gas station, looks gorgeous.
